I’ve been coming to this place for a few years every time I’m in the area and the food is absolutely amazing. I can’t say enough about ANY dish or bakery item we tried. Everything tastes amazing! Prices are good and service very attentive and welcoming. The location is also very nicely decorated and cozy.

My mother went here yesterday with her sister for lunch. My mom had gift certificates she was excited to finally use. When she placed her order and went to pay the cashier said “oh these are old I don’t know if we accept them anymore”. She checked with a boss who came over and stated people were printing them out so they stopped accepting them. The problem with that is the gift certificates say clear as day “No expiration date”. The proper thing to do would have been to accept them and move on but they were adamant about it. If they weren’t in the Elm Street Bakery Envelope with the company logo on it I’d understand. She paid with her credit card and immediately a screen for tipping comes up. What’s crazy is you can tip them ahead of time but the only thing they do is make your food and bring it to you. There is a section where you go to after paying and get silverware, napkins, plates and then you have to carry all of that upstairs along with the tower with your order number on it. After the meal you bus your own table and clean up for them. So why are you tipping? In talking with my mom she mentioned how a frail elderly man had to carry his hot bowl of soup up the stairs that he could barely climb. The man was switching hands and taking his fingers off the bowl because it was so hot. When their wood fired pizza came half of it was burnt to the point it was inedible. Muffins are in excess of $3 and cookies are just as much.

Did not care for this bakery. Could not order a glass of ice water. Only a "water" station (small 1/2 glass) walking up and down stairs to get refill. Had to bring down our dishes. Sandwich bread was very hard. Will not be going back.
Only positive.... the coffee batista was great.

Not overly impressed. My black tea definitely wasn't black, more chai green. Bacon and cheese scones were nice, but would have been nicer warmed up.

Visiting from Canada and stopped here. Fantastic experience, fantastic service! Food was amazing! My partner and I had the Avocado Toast, we strongly recommend this as your breakfast! Love the cozy chill vibe! We’ll be back!

The prices are outrageous for 1oz of white potatoes & 3 slices of octopus which I ordered, I paid $19 which didn’t look anything like that could be eaten. Very small portion. I am not happy I came here! I even tipped 20% before I got served. I admit that’s my mistake…. I assumed based on good ratings I would get good portion & good quality food. Very disappointing 😞😞😞

This place is phenomenal! They have such an interesting and exquisite menu and so many wonderful bakery options. The inside is rustic and charming with a really homey feel. The prices are very reasonable and the entire place is quite clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. My compliments to the chef that created this menu because the flavor combinations are incredible. I never would have thought of putting beets and pistachios on the same sandwich but it works so beautifully. It was a totally new taste experience for me and I'm definitely coming back for more!

My only complaints are that first time customers might have a difficult time figuring out where to pick up their food since the register is on the opposite side of the building from where you pick up your sandwich. The counter space in between causes further confusion that could be solved with a simple sign. I also felt that given the number of staff and the number of customers my food was a little bit slow in coming.

Other than those two small things I had a really great experience!

Loooved the dal lentil tartine I recently ordered. Hope to see it stay on the menu. It was delectable. Only thing I’d hope to see at Elm Street is breakfast running later. 11 AM feels a bit early for a cut off. Their fresh bread selection I look forward to every week- Great bakery

Just a shout out to Kim the owner. We were talking to her at the Speak Easy on Good Friday. We told her that we get our rye bread at another bakery and she told us her rye bread is as good if not better , so she gave us a free loaf of her bread, we tried it and she was right! We will definitely be back to purchase more bread. Thank you Kim!!
