First and last time going to this establishment today. Terrible bagels, of the three different types we ordered each one had a burned taste to them. The butter, melted, is brushed on instead of real softened butter spread on. I ordered vegetable cream cheese on my bagel and I was shocked when I opened the wrapper to eat it. I seriously thought they forgot to put the vegetable cream cheese on the bagel, only when I opened the bagel did I see barely a hint of vegetable cream cheese spread on the bagel.
This is a small town bagel shop charging BIG CITY prices and the quality of their products is terrible. Don’t waste you good money on the horrible items they sell. You’re honestly better off buying a prepackaged bagel from a gas station if a bagel is what you’re craving.

I went to goodies for the first time today and let me tell you what an amazing experience right from the front counter to the friendliness of staff to the deliciousness of the amazing sandwich. Definitely would go again and again I think this is a start of an addiction 🤣 side note the girl who took my order was the nicest most pleasant and helpful server I've ever encountered great job all the way around!

Have had their burgers and bagels and it has been amazing every time.

I've been wanting to stop by there . Had a chance to do that today. I grabbed a whole wheat bagel with nothing on it. It was way too salty tasting for me. I'm not sure if I added cream cheese to it, if it would cut down on the salty taste or not. I won't let that stop me from trying them again sometime hopefully with better results.

Great place with excellent food and service. The tall girl with copperish color hair was amazing!

By far the best bagels I’ve ever had! So fresh and well made. A fantastic addition to the area - a must visit!

Tried Goodies for the first time today. We ordered the cheeseburgers and added bacon and they were so good. Cute shop and friendly, funny staff. Will definitely eat here again.

I’m super pumped to have this new place in town! Great to have another lunch option besides subway and McDonald’s for a quick sandwich. The bagels are soft fresh and fluffy. I haven’t felt the need to have any of them toasted as they taste and feel so fresh!
The Mensch was delicious. Classic whitefish salad on a bagel. Cant go wrong and good price! The Mooch was super messy but also incredibly tasty. Hard not to make cream cheese and whitefish not squeeze out, but maybe less Mayo or bigger chunks of whitefish would help? Loved the fresh tomato and capers! The brokeback was well priced for a classic Sausage egg and cheese. It might be nice to have an option for fried rather than scrambled egg. The sausage patty was tasty and moist and appeared homemade. I would prefer some more seasoning in it personally (fennel seed, sage, thyme etc). Another suggestion would be the classic SPK (salt pepper ketchup) option. Or at least throwing a packet of ketchup in the bag.
The coffee is excellent so far and they have been making the cold brew better every day!
I am surprised at how well they can churn out tasty food in such a small space so efficiently in only their first week. I am excited for their future as a quick local breakfast and lunch spot!

Best bagels out there. Worth every penny

As a former lifelong NYC resident, everyone knows that NYC water makes the bagels superior. It’s nice to have a bagel place in the area with fun ‘goodies’ as well, but I didn’t find their BEC or their bagels to be anything special.
Also, Catskill and the surrounding towns/villages/hamlets are working, lower class places, I wish Goodies’ prices would reflect that. A lot of us choose to live here because we enjoy mom and pop shops and the cheap cost of living. Penny’s, the restaurant that was in this location prior, reflected that with their dirt cheap prices and locals crowding the place in the morning.
Goodies feels like it’s trying to make Catskill into Brooklyn, which I hope never happens and it lacks the country charm. It’s clearly backed by pretentious, multiple big investors and not local residents.
