Bay Shore Bean

Looks like a decent coffee place. However, it says it closes at 8 or 8:30pm and we drive there at 7pm and the doors are locked with people inside. No one looks up to acknowledge us. If your hours changed them have them updated on your website and/or door.

Happy to support a local business as a Bay Shore resident but thought I would share my experience this morning. I purchased 4 bags of coffee beans today, was asked if I needed them ground which I did not, but the response from the staff was "thank god"... why bother to offer? In the event I did, I wonder what the response would have been and how uncomfortable that might have felt as a paying customer. The goal should be to train all employees to create an amazing client or customer experience. Was also told, I'd offer you a bag, but we don't have any. Not a memorable experience, or a positive one.

Coffee was so great! Staff was so friendly and fun. Perfect place to get a drink and get some work done :)

I don't really know why this is my experience 2/3 times going there, but it seems they mess up my drink orders more often than not. Simple, not overly complicated drink orders. Here are some common issues:

- If I order a mocha latte, they NEVER stir the chocolate. It just sits at the bottom, unmixed. I feel like it's not really hard to realize that you should stir, or at the very least make sure that the chocolate in the drink is melted.

- There has been more than one occasion where I have ordered a drink and it doesn't fill the cup. If I ordered a large, why is a third of my cup empty? It's not room for foam as lattes do not need a third of a cup for foam, and usually there isn't any foam ANYWAY.

- Why is my HOT drink COLD. I think this one speaks for itself.

- Drinks typically take a long time, but I've seen the layout and I don't completely fault the employees as it seems it doesn't look like they have the best space to work with. Still, this backs the line up all the times which is kind of ridiculous.

I don't typically ask them to fix the drinks as I know that they get busy and I don't like to feel like a bother, but honestly the consistency of mistakes is overwhelming. I usually go there since it's conviently located but I remember why I stopped awhile ago. I like the aesthetic but honestly that doesn't make up for the inconsistency especially since I don't typically hang out there. I really wanted to love this place but I can't.

Cute little coffee shop. They had your usual drink menu in addition to smoothies. They had some very unique flavors, it was hard to choose which one to order. I was kind of disappointed with their pastries selection, though. Maybe they ran out or they only have limited ones during the weekends - not sure. I prefer to enjoy my drink with a side treat so that was a letdown. Other than that, the ambiance was quaint, the bathroom was clean and service was good.

Great coffee, even better atmosphere and the nicest staff. Love coming here!

Great coffee and baked goods selection. Always friendly service and a nice ambience to study or grab a coffee with a friend! One of the best bean locations!!!

very rude customer service, we walked in and got looks and stares the whole time we were in there from what I believe is the manger. i’ve been coming here for months and never had a bad experience till now. The women that made our coffees was very friendly and attentive. sad to say never coming back.

I always stop in here when I'm in Bay Shore, as I did today. The baristas are nice and they even remember how I like my coffee which is impressive since they have a lot of business!

A great little place to caffeinate and tolerate the State of the Union. Don't forget to add Nutella to your acai bowl
