Went in for a quick breakfast. Husband liked burrito and americano, and I got chicken and waffle sandwich. Was good but tasted like it would’ve been better with a honey butter instead of syrup it came with.

I will drive 55 minutes for Steams Chai Tea Latte. That’s how delicious it is! This is a very quaint coffee shop that I’m sure during non-COVID times would be a great place to meet with friends. Right now only outside seating is available...and in January...that’s not happening. Steam offers all sorts of coffees and teas and great pastries. I ordered slice of blueberry bread, and it was chock full of berries and not too sweet. Definitely home made. The cinnamon roll (with cream cheese on the side) was large enough to feed 3 people, so I passed this time as I was traveling solo. The staff were also very friendly to me. If the rest of the drinks and food are as good as what I’ve had - I definitely recommend stopping in here.

Best coffee shop in this cutest town!

Cool looking place. Coffee not bad. Staff and many customers not wearing mask. Staff was pretty rude, especially long red haired dude! I'm in red river quite a bit. Don't handle mean or rude people well at all. I won't go back but give it a try and make up your own mind. Maybe they were just having a bad couple of days.

Super cute coffee shop with THE BEST selection of coffees/frappes in town! My “go-to” for my “get-up-and-go-Joe”!

UPDATE: I just noticed Steam refunded my purchase in full. I sincerely thank you for this and feel the wrong has been righted. I bumped up review from 1 to 3 stars. I’d award 4 stars for the coffee, but 3 because the challenge happened in the first place.
Original review: As usual, I’ll start with the good... Coffee is yummy. Iced espresso hit the spot.
Now, the BAD... Ordered a blueberry muffin. Assumed (my bad) it would be fresh (‘seemed’ like that kinda’ place). A packaged, sugar loaded, muffin (not to mention way over priced - oh I did just mention it), was placed on the counter. I immediately asked to return it just as my card went through. Gal helping me asked guy in place (I assume manager on duty?) to return it. He said no. Said “even a gas station wouldn’t return food.” I explained that it was still sealed, I had‘t touched it (OK, I did read the wrapper) and I simply didn’t want it. He still said no. I left muffin on counter, offered it to anyone in store who might want it, and told fella I thought this was terribly poor customer service; he still gave me song and dance, but wished me a nice day. I will have a nice day, but ‘steam coffee’ certainly wasn’t part of it.
Stop in for good coffee, but don’t be surprised by poor service.
I’ll add, same guy was super abrupt and unfriendly right when I walked in. Lighten up ‘bro’.
Let’s analyze... IF guy had simply returned muffin: I would have come back for lunch after my bike ride (was excited about their burrito), no frustration would have occurred, this negative review wouldn’t have happened, and happiness would prevail. He could have even simply thrown away the muffin if it was a health concern (which I imagine they did?).

Ordered the Sugarfree caramel macchiato , add raspberry. That was the best coffee drink from any coffee shop I have visited, even in Texas. Fast, friendly service too. We will go back before heading home.

Great coffee shop in a small but oh so charming building. They have breakfast burritos on the weekends that are delicious. They also have wonderful drinks other than coffee. I highly recommend Steam.

I can't give no stars, so I just gave one. We visit Red River often and love to support local businesses. During this Covid situation we knew some places would be closed and there would be restrictions. We tried two different mornings to get coffee here and both times they weren't open. It says on the website that they open at 6:30, but that wasn't the case. We tried near 8 one morning and close to 8:30 the next. Both times there was someone inside, but they weren't open. We did see people having coffee there during the day so they are open, just not sure on hours. We would have loved to try this one out!

They have wonderful coffee. Vanilla latte is my favorite. I just wish is was a little hotter, it cools off too quickly, so you want to ask them to steam it a little extra if you like it hot! 5 stars from me!
