Very cute hotel with outdoor seating. Masks were required and service was great. I had a salad out of the case, very fresh. The sweet coffee choices were better than the plain, but still a great caffeine stop.

I fortunately to the time to jump on the Net and looked up coffee houses and cafes in Las Vegas. I found Dichos in the Hotel Fidel and stopped in. Las Vegas, for all its fame and coolness, has no stand-alone coffee houses, not even a Starbucks. Blah. Who cares about all the great food and historic buildings if I cannot get a decent cup of Java?
The Hotel Fidel felt a bit like the "Shining" hotel. Empty, quiet, deserted.....Only one person was in the lobby and she was the server at Dichos. No one was at the hotel front desk for the 15 minutes I was there except a house cat that cooly walked down the stairs and across the lobby floor. I booked a room with the cat.
The young lady who took my order and made my Breve Latte was very friendly and made a great cup for me to take on the road to Raton. Las Vegas - what's up? Don't any of you long-term residents love great coffee and the atmosphere of an espresso cafe? Must be a decaf crowd..........

Excellent place to stop for coffee. Lattes made with a vintage espresso machine. Definitely recommend pairing your drink with a cookie.

Fun location. Good staff. Location is well hiddeb and shares a space with a hairclipping place. Drink options are very diverse. My wife loved her iced coffee but I disliked my taro drink because it was very watered down.

Gorgeous historic hotel. Yummy sweet cinnamon pastries my kids loved and delicious coffee. Barista showed us the ballroom, so pretty, I can almost imagine it bustling in the 1920s. Highly recommend a stop here.

Driving home from Santa Fe to Fort Collins we needed coffee. Las Vegas seemed like a good stop. We looked for coffee shops via Google and decided on this hole in the wall. Other than it being not an active looking hotel the coffee bar and coffee hit the spot. We were hanging around the lobby for nearly 40 minutes and did not see another person except the guy behind the coffee bar. He was wonderful and the coffee was pretty good. I prefer dark roast but their medium roast was ok.

Good old-fashioned latte without sugar or syrup was robust, and flavourful. Creative coffees and teas are also available. Fresh homemade scones. Old hotel is fun to appreciate.

We had coffee and a pastry on a Sunday morning. I give 5 stars in part because it was not busy and the service and quality were very good! I admire the owner/worker, she has guts and tenacity, and we enjoyed the short visit with her. We lived in Gallup for many years and they never had a decent coffee shop survive. I hope the locals and all travelers support this wonderful little shop, it is in a very cool lobby area that is worth the effort to visit!

Lovely food, service and atmosphere. The veg breakfast burrito and waldorf chicken sandwich were delicious!
