Barista was very sweet, and makes a really good latte. Food was delicious! Breakfast croissants had juicy sausage and nicely cooked eggs with an amazing sauces on the side. Inside is spacious and inviting atmosphere. Seems like a go-to for locals and tourists alike!

Love it, they didn't have cold brew on the menu, I asked and they said they could provide. I promise I'm not bougie, I just prefer the most caffeine! (It was probably just iced coffee, nbd).
The chocolate peppermint cookie pared well. And I absolutely loved window shopping all the gorgeous jewelry, stones and crystals. A lovely shop for gifts! They had ample seating for any coffee shop work, indoor and out. I loved the couch and the big tables were appealing too.

New ownership has ruined the place. Firstly, take note the gift shop has been removed. More importantly though, they’ve completely ruined the design. This place used to have a design that was first rate, making special and unique. Now it looks like a middle aged straight guy designed it using free furniture from his frat friends houses. Worse yet is the food has gone downhill, it seems like the ingredients are cheap and low quality. Sandwiches went from having sourdough or ciabatta style breads to literally wonder bread and great value cheese. Really disheartening to see a staple of the community turn into what is has.

Wow what an experience. I came here after some challenging schoolwork, and only needed a snack. But boy did I get that and so much more. The barristas Britta and Adam made me feel like family as my was able to take a break from the studies. Thank you spirit winds for the experience! 🌋

Used to be a really cool spot. The servers were really friendly and cheerful. The colors were bright and the jewelry was cool and tended towards being a bit pricey but all stuff you wouldn't find anywhere else in town.
Since then, the inside is now bland earth tones. The jewelry is the same over priced junk you'll find all over Santa Fe or literally the kind of thing you will find anywhere. The server wasn't exactly rude but clearly didn't care.
What began as a nifty new age spot is now a tourist stop. Kind of breaks my heart a bit.

Great coffee, okay pastry. No gift shop. Very much tailored for the "too cool for Starbucks" crowd. It's not my scene, but again, the coffee is terrific.

There are now tons of tables and chairs so that anyone can bring some work, home work or just a book and enjoy their drink and/or snack. The amount of open space in the cafe now is a million times better than all that kitschy bs that crowded the store.
Staff are friendly, coffee is great and the Wi-Fi works. Definitely coming back here to do some studying in the mornings.

The coffee shop, restaurant side of things is still good as it ever was. I am in the camp of the store side just being a disappointment since the original owner sold, now years ago.
Once a gift ship where you could find a broad spectrum of the beautiful and bizarre, the high end expensive and the kitschy stocking stuffer, it's predominantly jewelry, incense and rocks...crystals...healing stones, whatever. Clearly, it's has to have a loyal customer base, because it's now been there for years, even surviving a pandemic. If that's your jam, it's a 5-star shop.
Me? I wasted my time returning recently for Christmas gifts shopping. (Give it another chance, a friend said.) It was like going to the open house of your long dead grandma's house after someone came and did a full renovation, remodel. It's pretty alright, but it's a lot of nothing about what you loved.
I feel this review reads harsher than I intend. Today's Spirit Winds is absolutely fine for what it is today and whomever it's for.
But if you've got an sentimental urge to visit hoping to see a return of anything close to what it used to be, don't. That spirit is is dead and gone. Just like grandma.

I met a girlfriend for iced coffe that was delicious here. It was my first visit and I will definitely return. They have a wonderful gift store and coffe shop! There is a unique plant section with some amazing cactus.

Got the Mexican hot cocoa. Was good sized and priced well. Pretty tasty too.
Quiet atmosphere. Sat there for a couple of hours with a friend talking and had an enjoyable time. Looking to come back often for a quiet place to sit indoors or out.
