Very unassuming looking, but the food was wow! Friendly staff, quick service, and outstanding food. The huevos rancheros with green chili, yummy!!!

Service is great but it's a little pricey. The club sandwiches didn't even fill me up. It tasted good but that's all.

Really good breakfast. No country fried steak but the eggs, potatoes, bacon and hell even the toast done very well. Coworker had the biscuits and gravy said it was awesome. Staff was very friendly and the meal came quick.

Server who took our order was very caring . Me and my wife are vegetarian so she custom created burrito and enchiladas for us . Food was very flavourful , portions are hugeeeee .

The food is great, they have great service and your food comes out hot, fresh and really quick even on busy days! I recommend the place if your going through the area.

Really good service and great food! They are always extremely busy, witch is a good thing for them, but it makes it kind of crowded sometimes. The burrito pronto is by far the best breakfast burrito in town! The pesos river special is by far the best sandwich in town for lunch!

1 of the very best in Southern New Mexico! The food is very tasty, presented beautifully. Service is beyond all else in the region. It is exciting to be there, with all the excitement of this fast-paced comradery with servers, food & drink. It is a place where you want to belong, and it looks as though the servers have a personal connection with every single table and person. And then ... the dessert case ... Wow! It is the "Cheers" of Carlsbad - absolutely THE BEST CAFE ever!

If you want to eat and one of the best breakfast and lunch spots in the southwestern United States, look no further than The Pecos River Cafe. Diane and Chris Cerny have been serving high quality food for over 20 years, in the Community of Carlsbad. There isn't a faster more dependable dining option around. Its hard to recommend one item as the the entire breakfast and lunch menu offers great items across the board. The staple of the breakfast menu is their monster Pronto burrito that can be customized in multiple ways. They also serve up giant cinnamon rolls that are sold out daily. For lunch, I recommend any of their sandwiches, or mexican plates. If you want to see how a restaurant is run and how food is suppose to be presented, visit The Pecos River Cafe in Carlsbad, you won't be disappointed.

Foods great but definitely expensive because the oilfield will pay it.
