Stellar 50's atmosphere and the mini jukebox really works. The patty melt done right. But the pie. You have to try the pie.

This place carries such a huge history.
1. It was established upon the request of the scientists to working in the nuclear centers for evening beers post work
2. It is currently run by their 4th generation heir, Jenice who spoke to us and was extremely kind enough to tell us stories of her time and the town with 500 people population and give us couple of trinklets as a memorandum
3. This is the place which first started adding Nee Mexico chile in ham burgers

I came here for lunch, and I ordered the ranch house burger, and the bun was a tad bit dry and crumbly. Wife ordered the Mazatian Turkey sandwich.
The food wasn’t exceptional or amazing, it was good. I would probably go back and try something different. 3/5 stars on just food alone, but open to change upon different items.
The customer service was fantastic. Very friendly and attentive. The customer service is why I bump this up a star because the service was a 5/5.

Very first time here. I love the cozy atmosphere. I had the green chile cheeseburger with fries. Amazing. Gotta try this if you are visiting. Greetings from El Paso, TX

I love a local spot with great food. The peach milkshake was generous and hands down the best I've ever had. The onion rings were thin and light (hint: we shared) and my taco salad was delicious.

We had a very nice dining experience. The Chicken Fried Steak, mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables were delicious. The roll was tough from being warmed in the microwave. My only complaint is that the food was not evenly hot. Some areas were cold. They give you enough potatoes and gravy for 4 people. It's just wasteful.

Ever wanted to know what people ate in 1939? Here you go. All the recipes include no salt or seasoning. Why would they? Salt and pepper shakers are at the table. Duh. But, no really... they make huge portions from recipes based on grandpa's mother's recipe rolodex. The shakes are good though.

The booths are small even for someone who isn't a bigger person but that was just my observation it may not be that way for everyone . The staff was very friendly and had a warm approach and great service and the food was just very tasty. I recommend the sweet and spicy burger it is a medium to big burger and the nachos are just huge so if you like nachos in big portions stop by but it seems most their dishes have good portions which is great because that's why I go to a restaurant is for the big portions and great taste . Give this place a try , my only regret isn't being able to try the chocolate red Chile shake they had awhile back.

It was okay. The decor is great, very nostalgic & the service is wonderful. The menu is extensive. My suggestions: Keep the menu to traditional diner & New Mexican favorites. If the menu is smaller it's easier to have quality control. Serve breakfast til noon. Do away with that boiled potato lot.
