Amazing food! I loved their pancakes which are absolutely huge! My server was amazing and consistently checking in with us. 10/10 I would recommend this to everyone!

We stopped for lunch on a whim. The big owl on top of the building drew is in. Good thing. The food was delicious! And the staff were friendly. Busy, so we had a little bit of a wait, but it's definitely worth it! This place is on our list of places to return to when we are back in the area.

Good food, good service, I got a nice veggie burger. They are very pet friendly and gave my dog a water bowl and even a few treats! The price is fair for the portion size. The patio is enclosed which was nice since it was raining.

Do not know why this dive is rated so high. These are pictures of the slop they serve. Soaked in grease and raw potatoes. The waitress asked if I wanted to leave a tip for inedible slop. (Denver omelette?) Of course they charged me full price. A typical Albuquerque dive.

Love the owl architecture of the building. This place was kinda dead & employees seemed preoccupied (why? I dunno) so it took a couple minutes just to be seated. Cute little booths. We were immediately given a "sample" as a lady passed by featuring watery bland beans, topped with green chile? and crackers--if this is a NM thing, no thank you. No shake menu in the booklet so we avoided guessing and simply ordered the special (pineapple upside-down shake), 2 sodas, and the chilichanga lunch. The food was ready and in front of me in 5 minutes. However, the shake took an astounding 20 minutes to be made--very strange. Is this a normal thing?? One person grinding away at the shake machine disappeared, came back to mix some more, disappeared again. No idea why it took so long and we were unacknowledged for our wait. $8 was the special price for a shake? Finally it arrived and it was ok but my teen was not thrilled. The chili was extremely greasy and bland, but the fries were great and a side of ranch made them even better. Chilichanga was huge and tasted ok with a good amount of cheese. Atmosphere was quiet aside from the shake machine grinding away intermittently, with oldies music playing in the background.
$32 for 2 drinks, a shake and one lunch entree..a little pricey but everyone is overcharging these days just because they can it seems. It's an average diner with average food fare with zero flare. Might stop by again if in the area cos it's a cute building and the fries were great.

Well, the pineapple shake was good....
Our waitress seemed annoyed that we were even there. She brought our food, and then didn’t check on us or even come near our table until she showed up with the check. The bacon cheese fries were terrible. Melted/on the verge of burnt, shredded cheese, and burnt bacon on top. Not even edible. My husbands burger was extremely dry. We wanted to ask for more bbq sauce, but couldn’t get our waitresses attention. I asked for no onion on my burger. Low and behold it had more than your average two or three slices. Once you put raw onion on anything, the flavor is there. I really wanted to like this place, but I won’t be going back. Not even for a shake.

Wife and I ate while passing through for the holidays and it was a slice of old American Diner goodness! Old school jutebox, owls everywhere, real milkshakes and quality food! Portions were large and it looked like most of the folks were regulars based on the friendly attitude of the staff. The fresh pies in the display case looked awesome but didn't try one. It was more expensive than I anticipated, but worth every penny.
