We were on our way to Santa Fe looking for a good cup of coffee I searched for coffee roasters and this was right on our path. We generally like dark roast but their coffee of the day was a medium roast Kenya I believe he called it. We decided to try it, it was delicious.

Very pleasant ambiance. Love the place. Plus it seems it’s locally owned. The owner actually serves you.

Over the past several years I've tried nearly every coffeeshop in Albuquerque. I'd always heard (and read) great things about Cutbow, but hadn't gotten around to trying them until just recently. From the first sip of my latte I knew immediately they were the best in town (and there are some good coffee offerings in Albuquerque). There's a reason Cutbow regularly makes national best coffee lists. If you appreciate great coffee or are just tired of (even pretty good) coffee that can be somewhat bitter or astringent, do yourself a favor and try Cutbow. The only downside is the relatively tight quarters. However, the coffee experience will more than make up for sparse or inconvenient seating.

Definitely worth your while if you like coffee houses and you're near Old Town.
Named for "Cutthroat" and "Rainbow" trout... the owner obviously likes fishing.
However there's nothing distracting him from running a very nice shop. It offers a large selection of coffee (and tea) brews, well prepared by a staff that seems dedicated to providing a sincere experience.
