Cute, locally owned coffee shop that also sells locally made pastry. Everything is rich and delicious. Not much indoor seating, but the atmosphere is relaxing and has a contemporary fishing motif for lack of a better explanation. Outdoor seating is available but it is basically a rock/gravel parking lot with a tent and there's lots of road (and currently construction) noise.

I had been wanting to stop in here ever since I saw Ozomatli stop in a few years ago. I was finally in town on a Sunday morning for a first date, and I brought her here for coffee. We walked in and enjoyed seeing the ofrenda. This was right before Dia de Los Muertos. We were honored to see personal photographs of their loved ones who have moved onto the next stage. Thanks for sharing.
Next, se we’re blown away by all the choices of coffees! They truly have something for everyone. I had a pour over of the Valle Vidal and loved every sip. This is a craft coffee experience to the max.
Proud to support this Chicano owned business. The date went well, looks like we’ll both be back often!

Widely known as the best coffee in town and I would tend to agree. I always enjoy any drink I get here, and this is where I buy my ground coffee for home as well. Staff is always friendly and fast despite the fact they have always been extremely busy anytime I have been here. Only company I have is they have very limited space for seating or spending any real amount of time at the place, better for if you're looking for a to go cup, though on the weekends they set up extra outdoor seating. Lastly, I would recommend the macadamia milk, it's delicious and I've never seen it anywhere else.

I could spend hours here! I loved this place so much while passing through Albuquerque. It has such a cool theme to it and is gorgeously designed. The staff are so friendly and the coffee was delicious.

I’d say this is the best coffee I think I’ve ever had, and I’ve had coffee all over the country at local places. I got the Mocha now three days in a row. Owner replaced my drink too after I mis-ordered my own drink, very nice and thoughtful. Can’t recommend Cutbow enough

Update 2022. The coffee was good as usual. I did order a scone which was hard as a rock.
Everytime we visit Albuquerque we make a point to visit Cutbow. The owner is super friendly and the quality is fantastic. Their macchiato which is a classic macchiato and not Starbucks quality is spot on.

This venue pulls an amazing espresso and their presentation is also top notch. They serve their espresso drinks in ceramic cups with matching saucers and metal spoons. The whole experience is a real treat. They also have gluten-free vegan pastry options and all of them are winners. Currently you can complete your old world nostalgia trip with one of their branded tins for your whole bean coffee. They even have the equipment to seal it! It's retro, it's charming and it's local. The batista staff are well trained, they can even manage foam art on an oatmilk latte.

I love the coffee here. I love the origin story. I love the space. I love the original cast of customers. I love the staff more than any of those previous things. They are all amazing humans. Yes. It can take a long time sometimes to get your order. But that's because they're extremely busy, working out of a small space, with essentially one set of (very high end) equipment, and very precise methods. Which is what makes the coffee so good in the first place. It really only takes them on average, 2-3 minutes to produce a high quality, craft coffee beverage, from order to completion. But if you have 10 of those high quality craft beverage orders ahead of yours, it might be awhile. If it's too busy one day, and I'm in a hurry, I just come back another day. It's not their fault, and I prefer quality over convenience. I am thrilled for their growing success. And, also deeply disturbed by it. Because I fear they are inadvertently becoming an agent of gentrification. On the other hand, I own property nearby. So if they ARE inadvertently gentrifying the area, maybe I'll be able to afford more coffee soon as a result. 😄

In town from Phoenix for the week, and I am what you call a coffee connoisseur. Rented an Airbnb down the street I decided to give this local spot a try, I am sure glad I did. By far, the best coffee I’ve had in a very long time.. Paul the owner is roasting, fresh beans daily. A very nice and polite man. His knowledge and expertise in coffee made me feel like a grade Schooler just learning about coffee again. I highly recommend 10 out of 10, heck, 100/100 . I am a customer for life , bonus, they ship too….so this is my guy/coffee/and shop

One of my favorite specialty coffee shops and local roasters in Albuquerque. Great espresso and steamed milk quality. Good beans, use them at home in my chemex all the time. The cafe itself is a bit small for studying/working but good environment for meeting up socially.
