Really nice to have a fresh new food/coffee option in Wildwood Crest. The menu is simple and focused on doing things well. The smash burger and BLT were đź’Ż. Worth taking a short walk off the beach for!

Long overdue review. Discovered this gem of a café on August 14 and it made riding the Lewes-Cape May ferry all the more worth it. Their breakfast sandwiches are amazing (you can taste the local produce); the grilled cheese sandwich is great and their beignets (which are not on the menu but should be!) are to die for (and I hail from France, so my beignet bar is very high). Good job! Cannot wait to go back.

Discovered this gem yesterday. Welcoming staff. Ava gave us the background of the name Turtle Gut. Best donut with added homemade blueberry jam with a delicious cappuccino. Plus the view is beautiful. If you are in this area check it out. You will be pleased.

This is a great new addition to the area that complements the relaxed vibe of sunset park across the street. The food is well thought out and delicious with that signature “small cafe” feel. The owners are eager to connect with the community and are very personable. We had a nice chat over coffee with Ava and she explained where the name Turtle Gut comes from. I feel sorry for those who felt the need to leave bad reviews because they are too stuck in their old ways to try new things, or too ignorant to ask what a name that they don’t understand means. Very happy to have Turtle Gut right down the street and I’ll be glad to support them as they grow.

Ladies & Gentlemen!! Calm ur damn horses on the negative reviews you keyboard dweebs! They just opened up a month ago
I'm in the coffee/restaurant industry myself. Having worked at 1,2 & 3 michelin restaurants & now for a coffee roaster I MUST say this place is EXACTLY at Wildwood needs. The southern jersey clientele LACK a palate for great food & drinks. It's clear that Turtle Gut is headed is on the right path.
The Specialty Coffee (< this comes with the price duhh) offered is amazing with light to medium roasts offerings from anaerobic, honey processed, washed & more from Brandywine, roasters Little Wolf & more! If you like S**t coffee like really dark roasts (starbucks) Then this place is NOT 4 U. This place speaks refinement but will take getting used to as they continue to build out.
Espresso was amazingly dialed in. Cold brew was delicious, pour overs were on point. When you walk in a shop that has a Slayer machine, EK grinder & Malkonig for Espresso then YOU KNOW they've invested money to execute a great product. I bought 2 bags of coffee that I can't wait to share on the cupping table today with my Q grader.
No review on food here but I assure you they will approve on all aspects & consistency will occur.
All the best Turtle Gut team! You made my trip to Wildwood a delight :-)

Kind of disappointed. Expected Rita's huge breakfast sandwich and fresh rolls and deli meats but sadly no more. Breakfast sandwich was ok but small and coffee too strong for my taste and price was high for two. Staff was friendly and did let us try their blueberry pancakes.

Pretty cool new spot we were happy to found it on our trip! Their outside seating are its something else it was so nice to grab breakfast with that view, i highly recommended the jersey parfait as a light breakfast option, granola was delicious and their fruit taste fresh!

This is well worth a visit on your next walk along sunset lake. We had excellent coffee (very flavorful) and a special matcha lemonade that was perfectly refreshing on a hot day. Admittedly, the menu is still a bit sparse and it does still feel like the business is in the process of fully opening. But those expected issues of a new business don't overshadow the admirable attempt to bring quality, convenience, and curation to the Crest. The full hours (8am-9pm) are a welcome feature for a neighborhood that doesn't have many options. There's clearly love and passion in this business, which enriches the neighborhood it serves. I hope to see the menu expand to include some more menu options targeted at a health-conscious clientele looking for a quick no-fuss bite (salads, soups, grain bowls).

Wish I could give more than 5 stars! Highly recommend Turtle Gut anytime of day. The space is thoughtfully designed and the food is sourced with the best ingredients and produce I've had down the shore. Overall a wonderful experience, thanks to the lovely owners who make you feel right at home.

This place was disappointing. It used to be a very nice traditional deli with lots of variety and convenience items if you didn’t want to take a trip to the grocery store. Now it is a minimalist “breakfast” place with overpriced and subpar food. Our order was messed up because the cashier didn’t understand what an egg over-easy is, coffee was sour and bagels stale with a spicy aioli to mask the bad flavor. Disappointed to come back to a place you once loved to find it completely change
