The One and only Pinky Pinky
I have only been once. But we did not have the coffee we had tea.
Mainly because we already had coffee. The tea was Hibiscus blueberry. Fantastic! It tasted natural not artificial. The shop is super clean.
LBI is kind of "traditional" and stuck in time. How you Brewin is more modern and a refreshing change from all of the other shops in the area.
If we are ever in the area again we will try the coffee!

Great coffee. Lots of seating. Live music.
How You Brewin is a frequent stop of ours. It definitely seems to have grown quite a bit both in popularity and in actual area. It's pretty easy to notice from the road. They have a decently sized parking lot, but it can get close to capacity at its busiest.
The inside is very big. They took over the store that closed that used to be next door, and doubled their size, so there's tons of seating. They have both booths and tables. There's a mocktail bar in the center of the store. You order drinks at the main counter though. They even have a stage for live music. You can sit outside as well.
The drinks are pretty basic. They have espresso drinks, cold brews, teas, frappes, smoothies, and horchata. They offer 14 different flavor shots that you can add to your drink. As you walk in the door, you'll see their monthly specials. In addition to drinks, they have baked goods, breakfast sandwiches, sandwiches, soups, and salads.
I've gotten many different drinks here. All of them have great. I believe I've tried the frappe, cold brew, and iced latte. I haven't had any problems with any of them. Their condiment bar has simple syrup if you need to add more sugar.

Coffee was delicious! Also the food is top notch along with their baked goods. And the employees were super nice and seemed like a great atmosphere to work in!

We often visit family in Surf City from Philadelphia making HYB part of our morning walk. Neighborhoody and local feeling, plenty of seating inside as well as outside, great coffee (better than popular PA chain stores) and decent food selection, friendly service. Good place to briefly work remotely. Coffee club and merch available. You will not be srry you stopped in.

Frustrated that I paid the tip before ordering. I wouldn’t have gotten my drinks if I hadn’t asked about it. Apparently the person who was supposed to make my drink left early for the day and that wasn’t communicated to the host who was also speaking poorly about his job.

The coffee is great. Freshly brewed with a pretty wide selection of beans! It can be quite busy but the staff work through the lines pretty darn quick - thanks.

Excellent coffee brews! There are plenty of options for sweet treats and savory options. Nice inviting space as well. Love visiting when on the island!

The speed bar should be called the slow bar. Waited 10 minutes till I was acknowledged and asked if they’re taking orders or only packing to-go orders bc I was gonna wait forever. They have a $10 card minimum so I had to buy a gift card to pay. Cappuccino was decent.

Beachy coffeehouse vibe, nice atmosphere. Flavored coffee is good but very mild. If you like strong coffee, don't bother with the flavored ones. Staff tends to be a little weird, polite but somehow unpleasant or possibly impatient?

The coffee is great and at a reasonable price. The location is very convenient with a nice outdoor seating area. They have free WiFi. The atmosphere is very loud and busy in the mornings, if you want a seat you might have to wait a bit.
