Hubby and I have a great love for coffee. Using Google, we found How You Brewin’ in Surf City. If you ever want sublime coffee, outstanding service, and be surrounded by a relaxing and exquisite interior, look no further than How You Brewin’.

Hubby ordered Vermont Maple Nut Cold Brew while I ordered a Hazelnut Almond milk latte. They will only honor charge with a minimum of $10. The cozy cafe offers more than just coffee. They also have tea, soups, salads, even sandwiches amongst the usual pastries.

The place is clean, friendly, and serves up one of the best cups of coffee you will ever quaff.

Delicious coffee! Very clean establishment with friendly staff. The inside reminded me of a Starbucks and the options were plentiful. I ordered an iced caramel coffee and it was made perfectly. Not too sugary and not too bitter.

First time on Long Beach Island and we saw the parking lot full so we decided to take a chance. Glad we did. The staff was super friendly and helpful and accommodating. The coffee and smoothies were fantastic. I had a salad and my wife had a turkey bacon sandwich and I must say it was fantastic. The atmosphere was like sitting on your back porch. I felt totally comfortable and relaxed while eating. I highly recommend this for a quick bite and a coffee. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. My personal favorite here is the dirty chai and avo toast but I know all their coffee is great! Frequent flier here :).

HYB staff is always so friendly, great food/snack selection and inviting environment to “work from home” when needed. Highly recommend stopping in all year round.

I had the salted caramel coffee that was excellent. The cinnamon bun was a little extra sweet for me, but there was an great variety and it's was busy all morning. This is the spot.

My favorite year-round coffee shop on the island! Service and products are always consistent. It is our Sunday morning to routine to come here, makeup our to-do list, and walk up the street to say good morning to the beach. My only wish was that they'd open another location on the mainland (pretty please!!). DD is overrated ;)

Best coffee shop I've ever been too! Amazing blends both hot and cold for great prices. Shop itself has comfortable tables, chairs, and places to work/chat. A staple of LBI.

Just walked back from How you Brewin’ from such an awkwardly bad experience (my second time there today) and feel compelled to leave this review so the owners understand how one of their employees interacts with customers when trying to order an iced cappuccino.

Me: Medium iced cappuccino with light ice please.
Employee: (leaned back, stretched out his arms and let out a large sigh) OK, let me start from the beginning, is that like a Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts thing, because we don’t DO iced cappuccinos”.
Me: You don’t, really?
Employee: That’s correct, the traditional cappuccino is two shots of espresso with steamed milk
Me: Thank you, having been to Italy I am quite versed on the history of cappuccinos, do you do iced mochas?
Employee: Yes, we serve iced mochas
Me: You realize that an iced mocha is a cappuccino without the chocolate syrup? So your explanation makes zero sense.

My 1-star review isn’t for not having the drink I wanted, it’s for the condescending attitude of the employee and his explanation of why they don’t make the drink. To me his comments and interaction appeared to be that of someone who works in a seasonal town and is annoyed by the seasonal customers.

The coffee is OK at best but not worth the attitude, especially for the price. I'm willing the spend money when the service is good.

This place is truly awesome. Great coffee! Outdoor seating as well as indoor. A place to relax and enjoy! Great baked goods and food. You can't beat it!

Exceptional nitro cold brew with very expansive and amazing flavors. They even sell their own roasted beans flavored and all and I've made amazing coffee at home with it too!
