The Coffee Box

I don’t typically leave bad reviews but my experience in here this morning was not a good one. The woman taking orders at the counter was too preoccupied on her phone to be bothered and seemed annoyed to take my order. After taking my order she went straight back to the phone before I even finished paying. She didn’t start making the drinks I ordered until two other customers walked in about a minute later and ordered. She also forgot to give me the other part of my order until another employee who saw me standing there asked if I was waiting on something. To add insult to injury, the drinks I ordered were not good. I’m pretty sure one was the wrong drink and the other tasted like a cup of straight milk with ice and nothing like it was supposed to. What a waste of time and money.

On a positive note, the gentleman behind the counter who asked me if I needed help was very pleasant, helpfuI, and had a cheery disposition. I wished I had dealt with him instead.

Awesome selection of drinks without being overwhelming, and am equally great selection of treats. I had an oat milk latte and it was one of the best tasting lattes I have had not to mention the top foam had a gorgeous design. The banana bread was fantastic and I got some local honey to go. Great place to get work done as well. I’ll be back!

Pastries and breakfast items always delicious and made fresh! Staff are super friendly and the atmosphere is super welcoming.

My favorite coffeeshop in NJ! Cute environment, live music. Extremely friendly staff! Great place for dates or just to get work done!

Love the music on the weekends. Brightens up the whole neighborhood. I had a question about the water used for the coffee --- is it filtered? Bottled? The coffee tastes different everytime I go in there.

Beautiful experience. Delicious food. I love the vegans food.

Love the hibiscus tea and the Turkey Avocado with the homemade soup is sooo delicious. 10 out of 10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I'm originally from Brooklyn New York... Visiting The Coffee Box was truly an amazing experience. Very downtown/Uptown upscale with amazing staff. Food was delicious 😋... Definitely my go-to place when visiting New Jersey again... Management keep up the phenomenal job!!!

This is my of my favorite spots in Rahway, I just love the whole vibe of the place. Nice atmosphere whether your looking to get some work done, or just hang out and sip some tea or have a latte. The owner Jeff has done a great job of creating a friendly and wonderful place to be yourself, and that's important in today's society👍🏽😎

the cafe vibes are real from the seasonal lavender cappuccinos to the gluten free bakery options. the staff including the owner are kind and welcoming. im from a whole different town but have to come here for the ambiance ✨ the service is quick too as i am able to stop by to pick up coffee before school/work,, def recommend <3
