Rook Coffee

I just love that they don’t charge extra for having a dairy allergy and have a wide range of options for dairy-free milks. One issue: “Karen” and her friends have moved into the area from maybe Brooklyn? Maybe from a swamp nearby? (though they’ve always been here but the pandemic made them...worse?) and for some reason she’s (or he’s) always at rook yelling at an employee when we pick up our order. If you don’t want to wait for your coffee then try making it yourself? Give these hard workers a break. It must take every ounce of will power not to tell a rude customer to go f#%k themselves so they deserve a lot of credit just for that!

Easily the best coffee on the Jersey shore, and definitely some of the best coffee I've had anywhere, ever. Friendly staff, convenient text to order for quick pickups. Pretty good baked goods. This is a can't miss. If you're a local and you haven't had rook yet, well I guess you're in the minority, because that's the one caveat here. They are very busy. VERY BUSY. And they deserve to be, but this makes quick coffee stops tough. So utilize that text to order!

It's always been a pleasure stopping by here in the morning before work. They have a simple, but excellent selection of drinks and finger foods. The staff is fantastic and inviting to be around. My boyfriend and I love their New Orleans style coffee. If you want to brew it at home, they grind it for you fresh. It comes out delicious.

If you are vegetarian or vegan, they have milk substitutes available for your drinks.

The crowds here are crazy on a weekend morning, but it's easy to understand why: Rook has amazing coffee. Their New Orleans Style cold brew is seriously delicious. I doubt Rook needs any additional ratings or rave reviews, but local small businesses need all the encouragement and patronage we can give them. I'll definitely keep coming back every time I'm in Long Branch.

Great coffee, friendly servers and every cup freshly brewed. What more could you ask for?

This has been my fave since the tiny, original location opened 5+ years ago. Always friendly, accurate and delicious! Iced, hot, sweet or straight up black... their quality is always top notch. I love my coffee and no one does it better than Rook!

If you have 20 minutes to wait for your coffee, then this is the place for you! The coffee is good, but not worth the wait, cost, or the attitude of the employees.... it seems they more interested in the internet business than the customer standing in front t of them!

Used to enjoy coming here, but sadly the service levels have significantly deteriorated. Had to wait just under 15 minutes this morning for 2 cold brews (that didnt have any special instructions) and it was frustrating because the store was empty, besides some online orders to be fulfilled. Won't be coming back anymore.

This was my first time stopping in at this location and I couldn't believe how busy it was. There was at least 15 people waiting for their orders but the staff was incredibly efficient. I had the vanilla cinnamon cold brew and thought it was delicious. Can't wait to try more!

Great cold brew. First place in the area to have it as far as I know. Plenty of options in fact wonderful assortment photos of single origin beans to choose from. They will make it just for you in a pour over. Try the iced coffee it's incredible. They also have great apparel. Their snacks and goodies are local healthy and wonderful. Don't leave without a granola bar
