Colonial Coffee Shoppe

This was a nice breakfast place ! Didn't expect much from the outside but when we went in the service was nice. Food was good, very much like a diner. Didn't really have any issues. Decor seems dated but again just very much like a diner.

I have been coming here since I was 14 years old. I am now 25 and this place still feels like home to me and always will. The head manager Pete is the best, he has wonderful people working for him. Highly recommend this cafe. And it's definitely affordable..

Definitely room for improvement. We used to come here at least twice a week, but now maybe once a month. There are many reasons, but the most irritating ones are as follows: no sweeteners on the table (you have to ask the waitress for it, if you can get her attention), no substitutions (we wanted mushrooms instead of peppers), jelly packs placed on top of the toast (this is cross contamination) and the icing on the cake, I found a hair in my plate and although the plate was replaced, I received no apology from the owner and was charged for everything as if nothing happened. Customer service is none existant here. It's as if they are doing you a favor, by letting you eat here.

Went for breakfast with my daughter on Friday, ordered waffles for my girl and 2 eggs and corn beef hash for myself. My waitress looked like she just got out of bed and was swigging juice out of a gallon container at the counter very odd to say the least. Another waitress brings my order out and I could not believe that the cook thought it was ok to serve what ever it was thst eas on my plate.
The syrup was obviously refilled because the label on the plastic jug was greasy and worn, who knows what quality syrup they used to refill it. If I could give a zero star rating I would. Don't eat here!!!!!

Awesome breakfast, great service, friendly staff and ownership. Just like the old neighborhood coffee shops. Prices are extremely reasonable. I THIS is coming from a regular and I'm very choosy as to who gets my business.

You want breakfast in Howell? This is the place to go to. Real food served by nice local folks. Yes, we have the big chain restaurant. They can't hold a candle to this place.

The staff seems like they don’t even want to be bothered with you. I asked for sides. Never came out she sat at the counter eating her own food and never once came up and asked me how everything was. Not even to give me the check. Placed the check as soon as the food came out. Horrible food. very bland.

Been living in Howell for 21 1/2 years, always heard about this spot, but never thought it was a diner style restaurant. Been visiting other diners all this time, this is my new favorite diner!

I just came in for a coffee, and it was NOT good. The woman was a bit rude and the Styrofoam burnt coffee...I'm sure they're maybe a great diner but maybe change the name is all.
