Rook Coffee

New Orleans cold brew is excellent! Service is always friendly and easy going.

This location has gone severely downhill in the past few months. The coffee has been made incorrectly quite a few times but it’s not worth asking to fix it because they seem to be extremely short staffed. I’m writing this as I wait for almost 20 minutes for a mobile order to be made, which was placed 15 minutes before I even arrived. Sad to see this one become so bad

Had a cup of their Costa Rica and it ended up tasting weak and underextracted.

Single origin coffees served hot seem to all be done as a pour over at Rook. Cool. But I watched in horror as the barista filled a measuring glass with 16 oz of water (a notably large amount for their smallest size) and dumped it on the ground coffee in one pour. A minute or two later, my coffee was ready. I could drink it for nearly ten minutes because it was so hot.

The coffee itself seemed to be good. It’s not particularly cheap or easy to run a coffee shop using freshly roasted single origin coffees. Care was put in by Rook to get this far. But dumping 16 oz of boiling water on a bed of grounds is fumbling at the goal line.

They’d be better off getting a big commercial brewer. It would save them time and make a better tasting product.

My overall favorite place to get a cup of coffee!! They don’t have anything too sweet which is nice. Just a basic coffee joint! The staff is nice and understanding! I go at least once a week to this place and come home happy

Was my first time getting Rook coffee today and it was so good. It will be so hard going back to dunkin/starbucks. The young girl that served me had blonde hair but I forget her name. She was super friendly, great customer service. Will definitely be back!

Best coffee ever! By coffee I dont mean the sugar and artificial flavor loaded lates/frappe/nasty junk. Just great quality pour over and cold brew coffee!

I'm done.. 2 bad coffees in a row . 1st time asked for cream and sugar and it super light and so sweet I had to drive back. Today I asked for 1 sugar and 1 cream & it was sweet and light.

Love their coffee. You really can't drive pass Rooks and not get a cup of coffee. I wish they would expand to Toms River. I'd be there every day!

Heard this was the best coffee spot. I was not let down at all. I was the first customer of the day and the staff was very energetic and nice! I had no idea what i wanted and they helped me pick the new orleans cold brew and i was not disappointed in the slightest bit! Whenever I'm in the area i will always stop in

Rook Coffee is a like party in your mouth. Like, your parents went away for the weekend, and your best friends are all coming over, and your crush is there, and everyone is having a great time, and DJ Kalid is on the aux, and Batman gives you his utility-belt and a high five. Basically, it is great coffee.
