I am not a coffee aficionado but I do appreciate the time and effort that these folks put into making great coffee. The facility was well organized and the staff was very courteous and friendly. There was only one other person there and it still took longer than I would’ve expected to get a plain cup of coffee. The order was accurate and tasted great and I bought some cold brew to take home with me.

I got berry tea which was good. My wife asked for 20oz cup of their lightest roast coffee and “a little cream.” They made coffee with so much cream it was almost white. So asked again for what she wanted and they gave her a half-filled cup of iced coffee. They all had attitudes and seemed like they were miserable. Terrible customer service. Manager asked what she wanted and remade it but filled cup with water which just watered it down and it tasted awful. She had to throw it out. A 20oz cup of coffee is a 20oz cup of coffee, no matter what roast it is or how it is made. Every other cup waiting to be picked up on counter was completely full.

I decided to give this place another go and was immediately disappointed. I can't believe I'm saying this, but Starbucks has better coffee and I loathe Starbucks. This place waters everything down to the point that it can actually hydrate you. The staff was polite and even attempted to make my drink right. After the 3rd attempt I dumped my beverage into the bushes and left disappointed.

Nothing but love for Rook Freehold! Thankful for cold brew bottles and the ever changing flavor options. Highly recommend using the app, makes the whole experience super efficient.

It was my first time trying Rook Coffee and as soon as I walked in I was greeted with smiling faces. Gabi took my order and was simply amazing; extremely helpful and friendly in explaining the different types of coffee, and making suggestions based on my personal coffee preference. I ended up getting the New Orleans dark roast with oatmilk, and it is the most balanced coffee I have ever had. The overall atmosphere was very cozy, clean and inviting - highly recommend to those who haven’t been, and will definitely be coming back again for more!

5 of us nurses wanted a regular coffee over ice, the little guy said they didnt do that, we would have to add the ice ourselves and he can only pour the coffee.
R u kidding me? Iced coffee hmmmm dsnt take a rocket scientist. He was also rude and texting the whole time while we were placing our to go orders. He def lacks customer service skills

99 cent gas station coffee is better and you make it yourself so it's actually how you want. Maybe they do other types of coffee better than what I drink. Not impressed.

Excellent coffee experience in Freehold, NJ. Many different roasts to choose from, all made via pour-over so the cups are fresh.
The food offerings are limited and include croissants, pastries, and a few assorted snack bars.
Reasonably priced, welcoming environment, and open at 6am everyday!

Coffee is great, but baristas need to learn to stop rolling their eyes at customers like they ruined their day for asking them to make a cup of coffee.

A nice place to get a coffee that is not the usual Starbucks experience. I had a Turkish coffee that was flavored with cardamom and made with dark roast coffee. Delicious! Also available was a New Orleans style coffee made with chicory. The store was tidy and baristas were very good at explaining the variety of beverages that were on offer. I can't wait to go back and try one of the cold brew coffees or just another variety of hot coffee.
