Food in Cafe was always excellent but now average at best. Never in the 8 times we've played at slots have we won. This time was the worst it's ever been. Played $200 and not once ever recaptured our bet of $1.00. We'll not return to the tightest slots and non exciting food. Too many places to go and have a good time.
The casino on the outside is gorgeous! You walk in, and you get that early 90s casino feel. Very old school paint on the wall, the carpet is atrocious, the smoke smell is thick with a hint of old lady perfume, the bathrooms stink of old sewage, and the machines are the tightest in town. The non-smoking rooms still smell of stale cigarettes, and one of our comforters smelled weird and had a stain, thankfully housekeeping came and gave us a brand new one and offered to change the entire linen in the room.
It gets 5 stars in comparison to other hotels in the city. By no means is the town super high end so keep that in mind. However, they have a $99 golf and room package that you can't beat. The golf courses in the area are some of the best around.
No microwave in the room. No cart available for luggage. In room fridge is small, no freezer section. $8 per night resort fee. Those were the negatives. Room and bathroom were very clean. Room was quiet. Staff is helpful and friendly. Food in the cafe is fantastic! Edit April '23. Went back for a few nights and our room was not so clean and needed some repairs. It seems there's no upkeep and maintenance being done and housekeeping isn't too thorough. Common areas (hallways, etc) were dirty. We'll stay someplace else next time.
we booked this place for a recent road trip through the national parks and thought with the price it was a scam. But it was perfect. Room and bathroom was clean, checkin was easy. The only thing we weren’t crazy about was that they had to hold on to car keys during checkin unless one of us stayed out there and only they can take your suitcases upstairs. It wasn’t an issue just something we were very comfortable with. Overall though good experience and would easily stay there again
Yes, the rooms are outdated however very clean! Staff, super helpful and friendly. Bell hops and valets are the best!! Free shows at the casino. Caters to seniors as well. Several places to eat. Great steaks at Katherine's. Coffee shop, ice cream and more! We don't gamble, we went for the pool. (HUGE, with a waterfall and water slide). Poolside drinks, warm, clean water. The pool closes much too early...6:00pm. BOO HOO! 😭
We went in here for dinner because we heard the food was delish. I wish there was more of a separation from the restaurant to the casino because everything tasted like smoke. The food was OK and budget friendly. The service was great, fast, and friendly.
This is an acceptable resort that is long over due for a renovation. Friendly staff, if not some what uninformed about its own golf course. Clean rooms that are very tired. Great dining is available at the Casa dining room. Valet staff is aceptional. Limited parking if you do not use the Valet service. Most of the ATM'S in the casino are unreliable. Overall, a value for lodging in the Mesquite area.
Drove 18 hours with 4 kids for spring break. Only to find both the Pool and hot tub were closed, even though I called back in February to make sure it would be open. Several other families with kids were so disappointed. What else were we supposed to do? Such a waste of a trip. Would not recommend.
