We went there based on the reviews we read. The waitress was friendly, but the food was poor. My wife had enchiladas an an order of chips and salsa. The chips were grocery store quality and the salsa was not worth eating. The chicken in her enchiladas was dry and stringy. I had a roast beef dinner. The beef was paper thin and tasteless with a rubbery texture. The mashed potatoes were real but watery. I could see into the kitchen from where I was sitting and it was dirty with trash under the counters, and either the cook or the waitress coughed frequently and neither wore a mask.

Emanuel gave excellent service. Food was excellent. They had ghost pepper hot sauce for my fajitas. Will return when in the area again.

The service might be a touch slow & surly, but I ate here 5x in 3 days, and not because there weren’t other options (although they are limited). Whether you get the Eggs Benedicts or one of their Skillets for breakfast, or you opt for the Tamales or Croissant sandwich later in the day, this place knows how to cook food, REALLY WELL. After 40+ years in the restaurant biz, this is absolutely my kind of place. A hole in the wall diner/cafe in a little out of the way town. And don’t miss the taco truck out back, either. The Al Pastor is righteous. How these people haven’t made it on DD&D is criminal. They literally embody the entire concept of that show.

Loved this place, so delicious and friendly, real cutlery, and basically the opposite of everything I hate about food chains and franchises. If you're in the area, you got to give this place a try!!!!

Had the eggs enchalada for breakfast and was pleased. Very small local place. Support local businesses

Great food! Marginal service. Service person didn't interact....no personality. Soft drinks took forever. Tables weren't cleared right away for the next guest. Very small facility...maybe 5 tables. We weren't offered coffee or dessert.

We ate supper here three of the last six nights! We have been on the road over a month and this is the best food we've had. The staff was friendly and efficient. The flan was the best I've ever eaten. Our waiter was Emanuel. Not only did he take our order and pack our food for takeout but he had made the flan. Don't let the appearance dissuade you from eating here. Food is great!

This quaint restaurant has some of the best food I have ever tasted. The Diablo chicken was deliciously spicy, and the southwest breakfast omelet with home-fried potato’s was packet full of flavor. Of course, I didn’t stop there- the hand crafted hot chocolate was delightful after a chilly hike through Death Valley. The Mocha I had the following day with my breakfast was so good, I had to take one to go just to savor the moment of a perfectly crafted beverage. Before I left town I tried a chicken burrito from their taco a round back. As you can see- This family owned restaurant was so good, I couldn’t help myself but keep returning to enjoy the authentic flavor- packed menu choices, and hand crafted beverages. I also tried a strawberry banana smoothie. That too was delicious. I’ve never eaten at a place quite like this. Where I could rave about everything I tried. With food this good- you know the friendly service went along with it. Stop in, and you won’t be disappointed.

I usually don’t give bad reviews, but this place was just plain awful! The wait to be seated was unacceptable, and when we finally got seated, it took 30 minutes to get your meal! I ordered the Egg Enchiladas, it was served with tomato sauce, and a small side of fruit, unacceptable, coffee was nearly nonexistent and paying the bill was a chore to get the attention of the server! To make things worse, they ran out of eggs and didn’t bother to tell the new patrons that breakfast was no longer available even though the sign says that breakfast is served all day!
