Stopped in for a bite to eat. Food looked and tasted like hospital cafeteria food but worse. Have had better food in county jail.. Fine dining it most certainly was not. Its the equivalent of a microwave burrito and a hot can of bush beer. Who charges for toppings on a pre-made hamburger patty. Wow..

Food was very good but service was lacking. We weren't asked if we wanted anything to drink.....glasses of water were all that were brought to the table. But, worst of all was the length of time it took to get our meals. 2 meals that were each one of the specials took 40 minutes to get to our table and we were one of only 3 tables that had placed orders. EVERYONE who arrived and/or ordered after us received their food while we waited. It was more than apparent that if you're not local, you're last in line.
Nice people but will never eat here again because of the lack of service.

Fantastic friendly service. The Badger burger on fire with fries was delicious. Just enough heat to light you up without being overwhelmed. Highly recommend!

Had a large group. Mary was very accommodating. Service was friendly and our group was pleased. My whole catfish was great! A great down home place to eat.

Really tasty french fries. Patty melt was perfectly cooked. My husband said his cheese burger was good. His only complaint it was only a burger, cheese and a bun. He didnt ask what came on it when he ordered. Maybe there was an option for lettuce and tomato. The place is very dated but clean. Next time we are through Valentine we will stop there again.

Great food at great prices.

The atmosphere is a little bit old school but the place is well maintained and very clean. The food is excellent and the portions are huge! Everyone passing through Valentine should definitely eat here. Two thumbs up! 👍 👍

Place was so loud you couldn't have a normal conversation. This has to be a local place. We are not used to screaming children playing with toys on the table at a place to eat. Then the food. Tiny peices on cod for their fish plate. Pork chops dry. Tea undrinkable. Just no flavor with their food. The only waitress for the whole place looked overwhelmed but she did put on her best face. Leave a good tip for her. She deserves it.

This kid-friendly cafe had good food at good prices. It appears to be where the locals eat. Mary and Mike were working hard to provide friendly service to all customers, despite being short-staffed the evening we visited. Try the homemade cucumber salad dressing!
