The Chocolate Season • Chocolaterie & Coffee Shop

If I were a blogger and writing about the must go to places in Lincoln, The Chocolate Season would definitely be at the top of that list! The environment is cute, unique, and inviting. They serve Hardy Coffee (aka the best), make their own flavor syrups for lattes, and have a rotating waffle menu full of enough sweet and savory choices for everyone to find something they love each time! (Great business idea by the way, because it keeps me coming back every single time the menu changes ) The only reason I took away one star (and wish I could just take ½ not a full) is because my friend, her daughter and I came in for waffles around 11 on a Sunday in October and ended up having to wait around an hour total for 3 waffles. I’m writing this not to complain, but just to give people a heads up that waffle weekends can understandably be very busy. I had been to TCS prior to this weekend for waffles and did not have to wait nearly as long, so I am assuming this time frame was just busier or they were short staffed, which again is very understandable. All of that said, I love The Chocolate Season and will continue to come back and recommend that people visiting Lincoln check it out!

Yummy weekend waffles (I had the classic Belgian), beautiful chocolates, a fun place to go and their candies would make nice gifts. Many coffee and tea beverages, offered hot or iced. We reserved flights in advance which were a fun treat. Turtle lattes were just right. They also have unique hot cocoa drinks, the Mayan hot chocolate was a fun adventure!

We worked with the Chocolate Season to create a custom holiday chocolate box for our clients. Erika was extremely helpful in executing exactly what we wanted. She communicated quickly and thoroughly and delivered the order right on time.

Not only do the chocolates look amazing, they are delicious. It is evident they are made with high quality ingredients. We will not hesitate to use The Chocolate Season again!

Everything is absolutely beautiful- from the atmosphere to the chocolates themselves- it is hands down incredible! And in the words of a 5 year old “it’s really yummy!” I highly recommend grabbing your little or best friend and heading in to grab something special!

The Chocolate Season is a very fun place to go for a date, but be aware that they have a limited selection of food options, so if you go, it is for their specialty - gourmet waffles or chocolate. If you're looking for a general breakfast place, this isn't it. Their gourmet chocolates are far above what my husband and I are willing to pay for chocolates (they're more expensive than See's Candy, for reference), but the waffles and beverages are reasonably priced and yummy. It's a cute little shop, and they offer reservations, which I'm sure is nice for people who like to plan ahead. Unfortunately they don't have a lot of seating considering how busy they can get, so the reservation feature has been a bummer for us when we've arrived to find the place packed and the only available tables already reserved. Even so, we still consider it worth driving across town on occasion for a date and some fun waffles! They also have a cute little section for kids that could fit a family or two, which I think is a really sweet idea. Overall, I would recommend giving this place a try.

Best mocha in town. Hard to go wrong with a chocolate shop making their own chocolate syrup. 🍫 The weekend waffles and Nutella macs are pretty great, too!

My happy place in Lincoln. The yummiest chocolate that makes a great gift. So many truffles to choose from and all of them delicious. The only thing I dislike about this place is that the cafe and shop closes at 5PM which makes it hard to visit on a work day. Love it otherwise!

I love the to go coffee lids (better than Starbucks) and the quiches are a must have! Great ambiance, Great service, great food, great coffee. Overall this establishment is a wonderful addition to our neighborhood.

Hidden gem in Lincoln, the waffles are delicious! Indoor and outdoor seating. The bathroom was super clean! Will definitely be going back to try other things on the menu.

Hands down some of the best tasting food and coffee I have yet to try. Didn't try the chocolate yet, but if the food and coffee are any indication on how good the chocolate is, I highly look forward to it.
Definitely a must try!
