Cooks Cafe

I’m always on the lookout for great local places to eat when traveling. Cooks Cafe popped up as best breakfast in Lincoln. Judging by the line of people waiting to eat we knew we picked a good place. It did not disappoint. Excellent service and really good food. Believe the hype, and the reviews, this place is a sure bet if you’re looking for a good local breakfast joint. Glad we tried it!!

If it wasn't for their Institutional silverware it wouldn't be a bad place to eat, just can't get pass the silverware. Use your fork to cut thru a piece of sausage it will just about cut thru your finger first. But their food is good

I am editing this after a previous lower review. As, I still really love the menu items and the food! It is a great place for a brunch and you should give them a try. The wait staff has improved a lot form my previous review and that’s a great thing too.

The treat for St Patrick's day lunch was corned beef and cabbage. They also included slightly sweet baby carrots and boiled new potatoes. Definitely was a very busy place as soon as someone left, they were able to seat others that had been waiting. Large enough portions that left no room for dessert. Delicious ❣️

Excellent little Cafe. Food was fantastic, service was exceptional, and the prices are surprisingly cheap. Definitely will be back.

Wonderful Cafe. Awsome staff. Superb food. Just like the original place I remember from the 1980s. Thank you.

This was my first time eating there. I won't go back. The food was not impressible we had to sit and wait 30 minutes and then I wait another 30 minutes before we even got food. Yeah I won't go back. Sorry

We made reservations for 10am for a party of 6. There was so many great menu options it was hard to choose but everything we had was delicious and big portions. On top of that the waitress was super friendly, the atmosphere was fantastic and very reasonably priced. We will definitely make a point to eat here again when we visit Lincoln.

While I was bummed that I couldn’t save some time and call in an order and it seemed a little disorganized upon entering, the servers were super nice and the food rather exceptional. (Loaded Avocado toast and Corned Beef Hash were both 10/10.) Definitely worth the 10 minute wait for my carry out.
