The Special Restaurant

Our party of 6 was sat right away on a busy Saturday afternoon. Walking in, you are hit with a strong smell of fried food, so you definitely know it's being cooked fresh! This restaurant gives off a mom-and-pop diner feel, which lets you know you're in for some good home cooking. The silverware wrapped in crumpled paper napkins only accented the homely charm. To make sure we were served in a timely manner, a friendly hostess took our drink orders despite our table being out of her area. When we received our server for the rest of our visit, she greeted us promptly with unlaminated paper breakfast and lunch menus that had definitely seen some love before us! There were several good options on the menu, and after a fair wait, we received our food nice and hot! My chicken sandwich special was well seasoned and the ranch was the cherry on top. This is comfort food for sure.

Extensive breakfast menu. Very reasonable prices. Huge portions. Was very tasty and enough for a lunch for me! Seems very popular with the locals but still while busy was really no waiting for us

Absolutely amazing food. Old school diner feeling and the staff is always so nice. The star of the show is the food though...this is a once a week type good.

Went based on the high ratings and fact that there were lots of cars in the parking lot! The place was full, but the service was friendly and fast. The food was delicious. I had a salad, husband had chicken fried chicken. Reasonable prices. <$30 for the two of us.

What a great Restaurant. The staff are just as amazing as the food. The Special Restaurant is a must try ( you will not be disappointed) The breakfast skillets are huge .

I've been there once per week this month and it's great. I'll keep going back so I can check more of their menu. It is busy but they do seat you quickly.

Went here for lunch. Country fried chicken and country fried steak were delicious. The biscuit was fresh and soft. Did not order any desert but they had pie that looked good. We were full from the good sized lunch portion. Would go here again!

The parking lot was full but I was greeted and seated immediately! The staff was super friendly and helpful and prompt. Prices were reasonable for the portion size. My veggie omelette was super full of veggies and my muffin was delicious! Wish hashbrowns came with but they can be added for additional cost. Overall my experience and food quality was wonderful.
