Bassett Lodge & Range Café

I love the history. A real Streamline Moderne building with well preserved interior and great history. Friendly, accommodating staff. Not totally luxurious but very comfortable, quiet and nice.

A flashback in time hotel, clean, a good sleep. Some minor maintenance and this place could be a really cool place. Cafe was closed during my stay, so disappointed.

My family ate in the dner this past weekend. We stopped because of the Nebraska Passport program and I am glad we did. The staff were excellent, the food was amazing, and I really can't wait to come back. :)

Quaint historic place to stay. The staff was pleasant. The rooms could use a little work as there was wallpaper peeling in the rooms. Everything else was clean. The only down side was that there is no in-room temperature control.

Very disappointed with the service. Food was fine, but when we asked if there was a fruit flavored Italian soda, our waitress said "uh uh" (we read on the board later that there were two). When the kids plate showed up without fries, I asked if it was supposed to have some. Again, "uh uh". I had to show her the kids menu, where it said it did, indeed, come with fries. Definately a frustrating experience.

Buffet was okay. Girl who seated us was awful. Heard her telling another couple there was prime rib "and stuff" when they asked what all was in the buffect. She walked around like she was on drugs and hungover or coming down or something. Our waitress was nice but in such a hurry all the time. Eh. So so

Hotel was retro, but clean. Mattress was newer, slept great, overall great place. Cafe was nostalgic and cute. Breakfast was good. Off the beaten path, but worth the stop.

Great breakfast, and service..... plus an unexpected trip back in time with the architecture and decor of the restaurant and hotel!
A real gem!!

This is one of my favorite places on earth! Dale and Mandy are so nice, the food at the Range is delicious and a great value. There is no trading the atmosphere.
