Place looks a bit rough from the outside, but has the best cinnamon rolls in town! Super good and baked fresh daily! The inside has a pretty nice lobby with tables and a couch. Would love to see them add some more lighting as it seems like a cave inside. Some more light would make it more like a working space and bring in that “cafe” feel. I’ll for sure be back here to try the coffee and have another cinnamon roll!
They also sell the pastries at Big Creek down the road, but the coffee is really bad at Big Creek - will be going to Mineshaft from now on.

Great place!!! Cozy welcoming space. Menu is specific but unique. One of the gems of Hamilton, can't recommend it enough. Get there early, they run out of breakfast pasties quick!!!

Wow, amazing food, service, and ambiance! You will feel like family here. Everything you want in a small town coffee shop. Do not miss the “Moonlight,” their version of a dirty chai. It’s like Christmas in a cup!

Literally the only downside about this place is the fact that they don’t have a drive through! The pastys are amazing, the scones are out of this world and the coffee is SO delicious!! It’s clear that the baristas (and the baker) know exactly what they’re doing. If you want a breakfast pasty get there early. They do run out. If they’re out by the time you get there don’t hesitate to try a different one. They’re all SO GOOD! My new favorite spot in Hamilton. Why did I wait so long? *insert drool emoji*

Mineshaft is wonderful in every way. The food was terrific, as was the coffee. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the environment is very homey and welcoming.
