Dancing Mule is our go-to coffee shop in Springfield. The staff is consistently cheerful and accommodating, and the roast is consistently good, never burnt like a certain chain's coffee.

The baked goods are tasty and well-presented. LOVE the Dancing Mule!

I've visited Dancing Mule once and overall had a positive experience. Here are some things I liked and didn't like.

I'm a black coffee drinker and DM seems to specialize more in lattes and specialty drinks. The blend I had was good, so that's a positive. But there's wasn't a selection of single origins or different brewing methods. They get huge points for serving their staying customers in actual mugs instead of paper cups. However, drinking black coffee out of a bowl-style mug isn't exactly a pleasant experience. A diner-style mug would've been perfect. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was fine. But it was a cold day and every time the drive-thru window would open it would fill the café with cold air. Wifi was reliable and parking was super easy.

Again, all in all it was a good experience. But it's not a go-to place for serious coffee drinkers. Thanks!

Dancing Mule is one of my favorite spots. I enjoy good coffee and espresso and dancing mule always has both. As a local business owner it is important to me to spend my money in other locally owned businesses. If you are on the east side you need to stop in!

Everyone here is always so friendly and this includes not just the baristas but the customers as well. The espresso is probably the best I've ever had. I don't like to go anywhere else because I know I'll just be disappointed with either the coffee or the level of service I receive. Highly recommend!

Our Sunday morning ritual and my favorite coffee place in town! I usually go for an Iced chai latte but would recommend trying the seasonal drinks as well!

I truly enjoy my visits to Dancing Mule! The skilled staff offer outstanding custom drinks and pour overs that I have made by choosing from their selection of Dillanos Coffee (DCR)...a wonderful roasting company! They also offer individual bags! Their display case is brimming with tasty items...check it out! Note...this is more quiet, intimate, limited seating coffee house that has the bonus of a drive thru. In my opinion, Dancing Mule is a "best kept secret" that all coffee lovers need to be made aware of!

Awesome coffee, wonderful (and patient) staff! The gingerbread latte beats the gingerbread latte I had at Seattle's Best in Borders. The sandwiches and pastry are excellent too! I plan on becoming a regular at this place!

Love the coffee here! They even have a drive through! Love how they switch up the menu. My husband loves the smoothies and hot cocoa. Definitely a great stop!

The coffee was delicious and the service was fast and friendly. Love that they have a drive-thru so I don't have to take my kids in. I will definitely be going back!

Ok ok ok ok.... the choices can be quite overwhelming if you come in as a newbie to the coffee shop world (lifestyle).

The staff at Dancing Mule are totes easygoing.

My first time (8ish years ago) I went in and got a basic coffee. I did this a few more times avoiding eye contact, trying not to embarrass myself about not knowing a darn thing about coffee (other than the obvious, caffeine!!).

Eventually I felt bold enough.. (heck yea that is pun intended!! 🤣) ...to ask a question! That is when I learned about Americanos for the first time.

That question led me to experimenting with choice in the coffee world, I moved on to try the Mule Kick on a particularly way to early to be alive morning, and I tell you what, if a mule kicks like that, I’ll take it every morning!!

Then I learned about buying bags of coffee from them. They don’t just get on Amazon and say hmmm this looks like it might be good! They are invested in choosing a variety of quality coffee for your tasting experience.

Sooooo... a drawback for me... location isn’t in the most convenient location for me to make this my daily stop. The rewards cards were changed to paper punch cards and I never know which wallet or pocket or maybe trash can(???) got my card at the end of the day.

I do try to stay up with them on Facebook, I love to at least pop in out a few times a month for a relaxing atmosphere and smooth cup of joe.
