Great food and amazing horses

Great hand formed burgers served with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles. Just plain good cooking! Highly recommend if you're traveling Hwy 54.

Great diner! The hamburger is hand-pattied with good, old-fashioned flavor. Hot beef sandwich has lots of good brown gravy & the beef is fork tender. Good, fast service.

My friend and I frequent this establishment on a regular basis, and we tip great. My wife orders lunch atleast 3x.s a week for herself and employees. So needless to say, we spend a fair amount of money in this place. On Saturdays and sometimes thorough the week my before mentioned friend and I play, at most, 2 games of chess along with eating breakfast and or lunch. Along with a hefty tip. And on average we might spend 30 to 45 mins n there before we leave. No longer than an ordinary customer. Not to mentioned that there are people that come in and sit for long periods of time just drinking coffee. And today just like any other day, we came in and sat down and was going to start a game of chess and we was rudely said that we was no longer allowed to play chess in there on the weekends, eventhough we order food and drink. What is wrong with this situation.

I had the daily special biscuits and gravy and hash browns and bacon and an iced tea and it was served me super fast and it was very delicious enjoyed it

Just got a to-go order and both orders were incorrect. No gravy on a chicken fried steak dinner and the other was given a hot beef with white gravy when she ordered an open faced chicken fried steak with white gravy. We called to inform them of the mistake and the hostess proceeded to tell her cook that the mistakes were made by us while ordering rather than her taking accountability for her mistakes. Then she informed us that the manager would be back around 2 pm if we wanted to call back then. When the proper way to handle such a situation when offering customer service would have been to take our name and number and have the manager reach out to us when they got in. Terrible, terrible customer service! Everyone makes mistakes and when dealing with the public you HAVE to hold yourself accountable!

It was very good. Large portions and excellent service. We really enjoyed it. When traveling to KC again, we will go back.

Good food! Fast service. Down home cooking. Like grandma's use to make. Not fancy and very reasonable. Got the special and was great even included a drink.
