Main Street Cafe

I have been a loyal customer for years. Never had a bad meal. Servers just like family. When I have guests from out of town, MAIN STREET CAFE is where I take them. No on leaves there hungry or broke!

So about 5:00 pm I ordered a catfish dinner and a order of fried mushrooms. I arrived and this place was super busy. I have never seen restaurant staff run like this. I stayed back and watched waiting for my order and I am thinking how do they know whats going on in the confusion. I watched customer after customer in awe and satisfied. I got my food and brought it home to eat. Food was spot on and fresh. I don't know how you guys do it. It is impressive .

Our first visit here was for breakfast. 9/24/21 The skillets were great! Servers are friendly and fast! Prices are very reasonable. The only downside is the decor is very unappealing and the plates were plastic.

I have lived in Jefferson County for many years and never made it to the Main Street Café until a few weeks ago for the first time. The food is absolutely amazing! It reminds me of grandma's homestyle cooking. It's not healthy, and frankly I don't care like most seem to these days. The portions are generous and everything I have tried in the past couple of visits was absolutely delicious. The service is top notch also! Both times we have visited, the servers are very personable and ensure that you have what you need at all times. Before my next statement I will preface it with, I do not judge restaurants based on how fancy the décor is, I'm more focused on cleanliness, customer service, and the food. With that said, this is not a fancy place, it is more "country" décor focused, and again I do not hold it against this business, but a more discerning customer may complain that it is outdated. Overall this is now going to be a regular stop for my wife and I, thanks for the great option, we appreciate the cleanliness, staff, food, and the "Ambience"!

Great diner. Plenty busy in the morning, get there early.

Started going here, again, after not visiting for nearly a decade. The place used to be a smoke-smelling dump with less than decent food. Add an updated menu to new ownership and a remodel, and Main Street Cafe is one of our favorite places to eat (usually 7-10 per month).

The prices are great, the portions are pleasing and the taste never disappoints.

Our family of six went in and was seated.. waited.. watched the people sat after us get drinks and their order taken and we hadn’t even been asked what we wanted to drink!! We finally got up to leave and told the guy at the counter what had happened and he said, “oh, sorry” like he couldn’t care less. WE WILL NOT BE BACK!!

I will never go back. I ordered all you can eat catfish. I was given 3 pieces first and then offered 2 more a few minutes into my meal as they were closing in 30 minutes. I accepted the 2 additional pieces. When leaving someone that was not my waitress asked if I needed a box. I responded yes that I did. She then asked if those were my first 3 pieces, and told me I could NOT TAKE any with me that were not my first 3 pieces. I thought she was joking and I jokingly responded " oh then these are my first 3!" She laughed at me, walked away, and that was my last contact with anyone in the building. No box. She took one to someone next to me, looked the other way and left the room. NICE WAY TO LOSE MY FUTURE BUSINESS.
