Upshot Coffee

4 stars for now. My coffee was pretty good. I ordered the veggie quiche and I feel like it's just my unsophisticated palate, but it wasn't good in my opinion. It needed some seasoning, it tasted like hard boiled eggs, and I believe the menu said it had a crust but there was no crust like a typical quiche would have. It was $8 but a HUGE serving! No way I could have finished it even if I had liked it. Maybe cut them in triangles instead of squares and serve them as half for $4? The prices here are a bit high, especially the coffee.

On another note, the cinnamon roll is to die for and it's still on my mind a week later and it's the main reason I'll be coming back.

The service was the best most helpful and kindest service I have received anywhere. Your staff is truly amazing!

UPDATE: 3 stars now. I tried this place again through Door Dash delivery. I got a cinnamon roll and a hot latte with vanilla brown sugar syrup. The cinnamon roll didn't live up to the last one I had here, it seemed a bit dry and overbaked, but still decent. The latte was INCREDIBLE, however the cup for SIX ENTIRE DOLLARS was 2 inches smaller than my phone. WHAT ARE YOUR PRICES??? This is probably the best tasting latte I've ever had, but either give me way more coffee for $6, or charge me way less for that small of a cup. Every review says your café is overpriced. Do something about it.

The truffles were very tasty but a bit small. Caramel salted ice cream is to die for. Especially when you order the dark chocolate hot chocolate to go with it. The chocolate cream cheese cake brownie was equally as tasty. Very cute place, great service and a quaint atmosphere. Highly recommend this place.

We used your online order function last weekend. The food was good, drinks were ok. Unfortunately, the overall experience was unpleasant and concerning with regard service time and customer and staff safety. It took over an hour from the time we ordered our food and drinks (3 food items, 2 coffee drinks, and 1 tea) to get served, a full 30 minutes after three system indicated our order would be ready. Additionally, 1 staff member was walking around in the kitchen area preparing food and drinks with no mask on and also walked out of the kitchen, close to customers, with no mask on. They frequently touched their face/ mask without and returned to food prep without washing their hands. Another staff member wore their mask with their nose uncovered the entire 40 minutes I waited in store for our food. We try to support local businesses, especially during this time, but our safety is important to us, so I don't think we'll be back again during the ongoing pandemic.

This is the best coffee shop in St Charles County! Their oat milk lattes are amazing & I really enjoy trying different cold pressed juices from them as well! If you need a snack, try their wild berry scones. They’re delicious!

Great coffee shop! Kyoto cold brew is among the best I’ve had. Staff is friendly and accommodating. It’s always very clean, too! Small meeting space is ideal, if you have the need. Scheduling on Facebook is super easy.

Well they have Gluten free stuff. They brought me a homemade style chocolate chip cookie that was warm to the point I got chocolate on my hands. Not bad at all. Coffee latte was pretty. Comfy cozy atmosphere, with a St Louis Monopoly game on hand to play. Saw young College students getting together to hangout.

Great atmosphere, good coffee, board games, yummy looking candies, and amazing gooey butter brownies! We spent about 2 hours there playing chess on a board provided by them and drinking coffee. The only critique and/or request is that we went there on a Sunday morning and they were playing free-form jazz, which just seemed a little too hectic right off the bat. Other than that, we would definitely visit again!

I love this place. They have the best coffee, maybe one of the best I've ever had!! I've only been here late at night but have always enjoyed the atmosphere & friendly staff!! I would not recommend the sweet treats however. And I wish the smokers would take it far away. Im very sensitive to smoke, so you can be sitting outside & if someone lights up, I have to move or leave.

I really love this place. Best coffee this side of the river. However, when I went in this Monday morning the barista was less than friendly to me. I've always had a great experience with the employees but this young man seemed cold and disengaged. Not the kind of vibe that makes you want to come back. I ordered a scone to go (the wildberry scone is delicious!) but the man forgot to give me the icing with it (which is what MAKES the scone). That was disappointing as I didn't realize until I had already driven away. I also was not a fan of the rap music playing. It seems they usually have alternative music playing which I prefer. I don't think I'll ever return here on a Monday morning.
Also, it's good to note that there is not a baby changing station in either of their restrooms. Thankfully in the upstairs restroom there is a fairly large counter space where you can manage to get the job done.

My absolute favorite coffee spot! Every time I find myself in cottleville I will drive out of my way to stop here. I love their latte jugs.
