Lakota Coffee Company - Downtown

I am visiting from Memphis Tennessee and tried the coffee here and I have to say it is some of the best coffee I've ever had. I am going to be picking some up to take home with me.

We’ve been there thrice. I’ve always ordered the mocha frappe with soy milk. It was really good twice, the coffee flavor is excellent. But the third time, the drink was just bad. I had to throw away the whole thing. There was no flavor of coffee or chocolate either. It was basically soy milk with crushed ice. There is no consistency in how the drinks taste. But their coffee is really good!

Best variety of coffee flavors in Downtown Columbia. Awesome local owners and a well ran coffee shop. It is a must visit if you are in the downtown area and looking for a good cup of coffee or quick bite to eat.

Wow, absolutely love this coffee/eatery! Roasting coffee beans fills the air with an intoxicating aroma, Lakota is warm, inviting and intimate all at once. A perfect place to start your day or study in quiet and respectful atmosphere. Always staffed with knowledgeable and thoughtful people and the ownership is reflected by that. This place sets the tone of Columbia and sets the bar for the rest of the coffee snobs out there. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. ☕️

The employees are always very good and prompt with orders. I can't say that I've ever had a bad experience at Lakota in the 3 years I've lived in Columbia. The atmosphere is also a great part of the experience at Lakota, and I believe they've achieved the aesthetic they were aiming for. On top of the great staff and location, they have some of the best products in town. I highly recommend getting a tea and any if their sandwiches!
