We went after graduation, and it was an amazing experience. Delicious, and very friendly workers. Will definitely go back!

My morning brew. Waking to the rise of the sun, strolling from Mizzou to Lakota.
Extremely reliable drip. Wide selection of single origin beans. Loads of pastries. And who knows what else. I come for a tall cup of drip and always leave happy. What more could you want?

I am a huge coffee lover and my friend recommend this place to me so I was looking forward to some great coffee., But when I walked in and seated myself at the bar I was completely ignored as if I was invisible for 30 minutes until I decided to just leave. I don't know if there was a specific spot to order, but I couldn't see it. Instead, I strolled over to Shortwave coffee to get my coffee fix for the day.
I decided to give Lakota another chance since I was visiting my sis and I'm glad I did. Thank you for the great coffee and friendly service!

Went in to get a breakfast bagel sandwich and specifically asked them to put my name on the to go bag. Sometimes they ask for your name, but I guess it all depends on who is working the register that day. 5 or so minutes later they called out a description of my breakfast sandwich and a few seconds later they called out another description of a different sandwich. Which had the persons name on it also. Someone took the wrong bag. After noticing about a minute later that my sandwich was taken by mistake I had to ask them to make another sandwich for me. CALL OUT THE NAME ON THE BAG!!!! This isn't the first time this has happened me. This is an ongoing issue, so if your wanting a breakfast sandwich from this place, stand by the counter and watch like a hawk or your going to be standing there even longer waiting on your order to be cooked AGAIN! When I left I said thank you.... Meaning I appreciate you for remaking my breakfast. The person looked at me and didn't respond. Oh and on top of it I asked to purchase a 12oz coffee and got charged for a 20oz.

Lakota catered one of our non-profit events in Columbia on 5/14 with coffee, pastries, sandwiches, and more. Throughout the entire process, the staff and general manager were responsive and friendly, providing exceptional service. Thanks, Lakota, for the wonderful beverages and food! We're definitely going to stay in touch.

The coffee here is the best in Columbia. Quite possibly the best coffee I've ever had. Awesome interior, reasonable prices and they accept donations for indigenous people to America. It's things like that that are awesome to see in local businesses.

Update... I don't like a company that will not allow you to pay for your order with gift cards for the company with your online/app orders... I have gotten Lakota gift cards as gifts and can't place them on my account on the app. Because the app is run by someone else... so I will not be getting any more from them until they change this...Not so great anymore, that it's right there at work so if Starbucks is closed or is not doing orders ahead I can still get something at work.

Great local Coffee Shop! I really like their coffee and their iced lattes are always great, not too sweet and not too bitter. I tend to get their Ethiopian beans and use them for my own cold brew at home. Great atmosphere, and the staff have always been nice :)
