I came to this establishment around 1:30pm with a party of about 10 for brunch; there was enough seating. The inside atmosphere gave that of a large cozy southern home-- you know, the ones with the huge front porch with matching rocking chairs-- yup, very home-like. Audibly, you hear the clashing of glasses being washed at the bar and the distant undertones of chatter from patrons alike. The service, well, could have been better. Seeing that they close at 2:30 pm, that could have been the case. I felt welcome, but not. I had the feeling of being rushed. Quick service is great, but it could lend a fast food establishment aura if there is not a “happy medium”. Waitresses did not introduce themselves, and almost-finished meal plates were removed quickly as if another course was en route. After a quick meal, I enjoy lazing for a while as my digestive system responds to my meal. But, that was not the case. After plates were removed and checks were checked, we were told to have a good day. Well, I did enjoy my meal, but I do not think the chefs would have received that reassurance since we were not asked. Before my departure, I was asked to remove the salt and pepper from the table and kindly relinquish them to the other waitress. Upon my egress, I was pleasantly greeted by two that appeared to be chefs, and they were very personable. Would I visit again? Sure! After a few delicious mimosas, I'm sure I would have blatant disregard for the aforementioned details.

Overall I enjoyed the atmosphere. Food was good. The person who waited on us, I think was having a bad day. She was very short with us. I believe she was just frustrated with a party that was going on. The other person who waited on us (Sloan) was very great with us and also the hostess. Both were super funny and accommodating.

This is the first time I've been here and I will absolutely return. Quaint and cozy atmosphere and understandably popular for Sunday brunch! Seating and service was quick and friendly, and our server's suggestions hit the spot so perfectly.
The Chicken Cutlet was crispy and paired wonderfully with the sausage gravy and poached eggs. And the pot roast in the Train Wreck was melt-in-your-mouth tender. And you get biscuits for the table!!! This is a Must-Visit, Must-Return.

A friend of mine and I visited this last Saturday ,the food was great! I had not been to this restaurant in many years, yet it has not lost its charm!
We started off our meals with a salad, I ordered the Caesar and my friend ordered the house. They were very fresh but I needed more dressing.
Next was our entrees. My friend ordered the pork loin with Creole seasoning, shrimp, and crawfish. It was superb and plentiful. I got the chicken alfredo and added shrimp. I like my food with a little kick and thought I would have to get some red pepper flakes, but the pasta was seasoned perfectly 🥰
As the neighboring table had libations brought to then I saw a drink that caught my eye. I asked the bartender what it was and could he make a similar drink, but with pineapple juice... no problem. As with everything else, it was delicious 😋
We were almost too full for dessert, but we got some anyway. I ordered the strawberry cheesecake, which came with an Oreo crust. This was the only thing that I didn't particularly care for. The juice from the strawberry made the crust soggy, and the strawberry topping was not sweet, in my opinion. My friend loved it.
I decided to get another dessert, the strawberry Key Lime pie. Now, this was a seriously scrumptious pie! Perfectly tart and sweet with homemade whipped cream 😋
All in all, this restaurant receives a 5 out of 5.
Dee, the manager in duty, was helping out in whatever capacity that was needed. She was ultra nice and genuinely concerned if we enjoyed our meal.
The wait staff all worked like a fine oiled machine. They worked together to make sure every patron got their food in a timely fashion.
I am very picky when it comes to eating out and expect stellar service when I do dine out!
Kiss 💋 the cooks and many thanks to the entire staff...run don't walk to Strawberry Café! Even the water is good!

Great experience! Five stars for everything and for the environment in the historic Madison. Great customer service with Angela. First picture: Chicken marinara (left), strawberry fields (right) fish of the day ( bottom). Second pic: delicious bread pudding 🙌

We loved this restaurant! It was our first time and it was a delightful experience.
The atmosphere is slightly nostalgic but unique and not overdone. It's comfortable and pleasant. Surprisingly affordable for the experience and delicious food.
We didn't have to wait to sit or receive our food even though it was quite busy. The food was high quality. I would definitely recommend it. Wish I had found it sooner!

Always a wonderful experience. The appetizers were all very good, specifically the fried green tomatoes, crab claws, pita with cheese. I always get the rail car, loaded and quite delicious. Their cocktails are also quite good, my favorite for the season and this time of year include the basil gimlet as well as the bathtub gin, specially on hot summer days.

I'm very surprised that this place has so many good reviews. My experience was anything but. Starting with the fact that few people, including myself, ended up sick after.
From the start, the server appeared to be intoxicated. Every single time she brought something out, things were spilled or dropped. Drinks were sugar syrups. Appetizers were ok. The food was well... pools of oil and shrimp dishes with shrimp that were not cleaned at all (still had digestive veins, aka poop).
