We love the Rusty Pelican… especially the breakfast in the morning!!

Rusty Pelican is a small, casual restaurant. I was there on a Sunday for brunch. My party ordered a variety of items from omelets to seafood. Everyone was happy with their choice.
I had the Pho and it was very good. The broth was very flavorful. The usual add ins came on the side. I enjoyed it.

Really good food, we were seated quick and the atmosphere was nice. Eventhough it was busy it wasn't a long wait for food.

It is an odd combination of American and Vietnamese food on the same menu. The Vermicelli was really delicious. The vietnamese coffee was ok, it was not as sweet as I expected.
My kid loved the chicken penne pasta.

Went for breakfast, eggs were undercooked, sausage gravy was very watery, grits were very runny, more like soup. Not a very good $22.00 breakfast, we won't go back.

Good food done in a diner style. Breakfast available at any open hour and some vietnamese specials including a wonderful pho. A must try for anyone wanting a simple affordable meal while in the north long beach area.

Always a great place to eat breakfast! Would definitely return here

The staff here is always friendly and offers good service. We come here for breakfast and Pho. It seems odd that you would have good pho at a southern diner, but the owner is Vietnamese and she can cook.
They sure moves some food on Christmas Eve!

Awesome food, service and price.
We just moved here and this place is now our favorite breakfast joint.

Rusty Pelican is one of our special, go-to, places for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They serve a combination of traditional Gulf Coast fare and (by popular demand) some Vietnamese items. The staff is friendly, the food tasty and well prepared. The standard lunch specials include Monday's red-beans and rice with an egg roll and Friday's fried orange roughy. Other lunch specials go through a regular rotation. Ms Hue moved the restaurant here after her beach-front location was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. The view of the wet pine savanna does not equal a view of the beach and she is doing a lot to make the view more interesting, including adding a water garden and plantings around the parking lot. I have no idea why Google shows the price range as $$$. This restaurant is very economical. The menu shown on Google is not their menu.
