It's an excellent place to to have lunch during the week for work. You can get in and out of there in under an hour, and catch up on the news. We have been going there several times a week for 4 years now, and they know what we want to drink when we walk in the door, and what I usually want to eat. I really like that they go to the effort to remember my drink order, and when they do that, I encourage it by tipping better, sometimes up to 50%. My favorite server is Kayla, as she was the first to go above and beyond, going so far as to make sure we have tall drinks to go because she knows we work outside, without having to ask.
The food is really good, and there's something for everyone there. Whether you want breakfast at lunchtime, or it's cold, wet, and miserable out and get the Vietnamese pho, the menu is incredibly eclectic. If you can't find something on there from American to Vietnamese, there's no help for you. My husband and I have had most of the menu by now, and everything is excellently, and consistently made, and substitutions don't bother them at all. It's my favorite place to go during the week, the food and people are excellent, and you should try it too!

Super friendly service and the food was fantastic. Took a little bit for the food to come out but in all fairness, we had 8 orders of beignets! Can't wait to go back!

Walked in with 5 adults and 2 kids … they had plenty of 4 seat tables , they allowed people behind us to walk in and sit and told us to keep waiting ! Horrible service !!!!

Had a great breakfast with my wife today at Rusty Pelican. We stayed with American cuisine. But, next time I’ll definitely try the Vietnamese dishes. She had pancakes & bacon. She said it was the best bacon she had ever eaten at a restaurant & the pancakes were Devine!!! I had the corned beef hash, over medium fried eggs, hash browns & onions and wheat toast it was the absolute best I’ve ever had and I eat CBH every time I find it on a menu. The wait staff was very friendly & efficient. Definitely a place to keep in my hip pocket for the next Mississippi Gulf Coast visit!!!

Very nice experience. The servers were both super pleasant. Arrived about an hour before closing and we don't generally do that. The place was clean and obviously has some loyal regulars. If I were to have a complaint it would be the lack of jalapeño or really any peppers on the bahn mi but really the sandwich was still very well made. It all was. There is an obvious amount of care that goes into the ingredients especially the roasted chicken on the sandwich. It was perfectly seasoned. This is the sort of place we seek out while traveling and look forward to going back. The decor was fun inside and out and had all of the markings of authentic Vietnamese and gulf coast influences together. Great place with nice folks!

Fantastic breakfast, takes a while to get out but definitely worth the wait. Best home style diner I’ve ever been to, the hash browns are the best around here, just expect to spend an hour or two here
