If I'd known the ownership changed about a year ago I would have come back earlier. I was pleased to find that the musty smell is no longer in the air, cool I can take this off the do not enter list!
The food we ordered (Eggs Benedict) was good, not sure about the kids menu scrambled eggs though kinda tasted like a pre-mix. We will be back to try different things, so I gave four stars since it was our 1st time back in 6yrs and it went well.

We arrived around one on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed. Always a good sign in a smallish town. Charming ambience and staff was spot on. Ah, The food. Yep, the food was fantastic and we all decided we had to keep this as a stop point whenever we left the Twin Cities and headed "Up North."

Their breakfast is excellent. Never disappointed with their food. They bake their own bread and it's great. The bloody mary needs to be improved. Lacks flavor. Overall a really nice place to eat.

This place is absolutely wonderful. A bit pricy for a small cafe, but totally worth it. We love the food and the staff! They make every visit personal. They don't try and stretch one staff member over 10 tables like other place. My sons thinks the wait staff are "cool". I totally recommend you take a break, slow down from life and stop at this amazing corner cafe... you will leave feeling full, satisfied, rejuvenated, and with a smile on your face.

I had half eggs benedict with breakfast potatoes. The egg was good, but the breakfast potatoes were deep fried. More like jojos. I like to try to eat a little more healthy. Would have ordered fruit instead, but they had no fruit.

We have visited this cafe a couple of times and have loved it every time. The service, food, and atmosphere are top notch. It is a cozy little place and everything we've eaten tastes carefully and lovingly homemade. This is a must-stop destination if you're passing by Monticello. We will certainly be back!

As always, the food was great and it was a packed house at lunch. Service was good and I'd recommend going when you have the chance. Haven't been disappointed by the food ever!

Sunday breakfast, pretty busy, nice to see - means it’s good and it was the omelette ham and cheese is to die for. Kids pancakes where kinda of rubbery but kid eat them all up. Coffee was hit and the best I’ve had

Love their Minnesota style omelet with ham and wild rice and my favorite is their huevos rancheros!!
