I have lived in or around the twin cities for most of my 44 years. It took me ordering a flat white at a coffee shop called "The Dock" in Spooner Wisconsin to discover your incredible coffee, specifically the Black Lotus beans. My absolute favorite for espresso! Will visit the store soon hopefully to get fresh beans direct from the beaners ๐ as the ones I got at the dock were over a month old but still delicious.

My wife scheduled a private tour with Dave for a birthday gift. Such a fun surprise.
Dave is so knowledgeable and very patient with our questions about coffee, blends, etc. it was great to hear that Up Coffee Roasters only buys organic coffee beans and has great relationships with many of the farms that source their beans.
The cafe was busy and the food and coffee was great after our tour.
Thanks again for the education. Be back soon.

The patio is huge and relatively quiet for studying and chatting. Really friendly staff and great chai! Very close to the UMN campus as well.

I tried the iced mocha with white chocolate and itโs super tasty! Glad to have this place in the neighborhood!

Updated spring 22 menu for ya! Ordered 4 drinks for coworkers and they did a great job indicating which had our specific milks and requests. Always a favorite!

One of out most faverite coffee roasters in the twin cities. We recommend you try the Matador roast for home espresso machines!

Was just passing through the neighborhood and had to drive a couple blocks out of my way to check this place out. I was looking for a quick coffee and a (savory) breakfast pastry. My first 'wow' factor was a real, wood burning fire pit outside the front door. How cool is that on a weekday morning? In the middle of winter?
Second, the coffee and the pastry were both incredible. It's not too often that independent coffee shops hit the mark on all fronts: ambiance, coffee quality, and food quality. This place did it. It might be tough for me to come back as I'm not in the neighborhood, but anyone within proximity should make the effort.

This place is pretty cool, good coffee, good service, good people. They are very aware and involved in where they're beans come from.
