They have ALL the milk alternatives!!! Great place for someone with allergies or dietary restrictions, but a love for good coffee.

Great coffee house - beautiful setting and cool midwestern vibe. I’m just going to say what many people are thinking - their pastries are not good. They sound better than they taste. Also , nothing is warned up. With such wonderful bakeries in the area - I’m surprised they don’t chose a better one. But if it’s the coffee - 5 star all the way.

The atmosphere and branding is awesome. The coffee is fine. The customer service needs work; I felt unwelcome during my brief visit. For this reason, I probably won't be back. When you pay $7 for a latte, a simple "thank you" from the staff would go a long way.

I discovered this adorable up North style coffee shop through local baker Emily of Fruit and Grain on Instagram and they do not disappoint! I love grabbing a North Woods (cold brew with oat milk and maple) with my out of this world treats from Fruit and Grain. Always such a bright spot in my weekends. If you haven’t tried one of the pop tarts, you will NOT be disappointed. Truly anything in the case will be worth it, I guarantee it!

Normally I shy away from any place that considers itself hip (if you call yourself hip then you definitely are not) but I had one of the best Americanos there recently.
their background music leaves a lot to be desired and they need to add a good supply of pastries, then it would be my go-to coffee shop.
UPDATE - they now have pastries which are high priced and very mediocre. The one I tried with a fruit filling tasted like it had jelly in it.

Best vegan iced vanilla latte in the Twin Cities! Get it with oat milk.
They have very creative drinks, like a fancy cocktail bar but coffee. All have received good reviews by people I've brought here, although I stick with my go-to latte.
Haven't tried the food. Also of note, they offer beer and wine.

Northern Coffeeworks has to be my favorite coffee shop in the Twin Cities. That's saying a lot because we're fortunate to have so many great coffee shops, and I've been to most of them.
It rises to the top for me because, first and foremost, their coffee drinks are consistently excellent. They use quality products and great equipment, and they craft the drinks with skill and care. And this excellence carries over to their other beverages and their food items.
I've enjoyed their drinks and food over many visits, and I've not seen a misstep yet. This place is clearly well conceived and well managed. The environment is great for hanging out with friends or your laptop. The staff are always super friendly and really make you feel welcome.
They become my favorite because every time I've been there Northern Coffeeworks has been excellent through and through!

Great coffee place, with an awesome atmosphere and a fantastic espresso. My friend had some of their baked goods which were also fantastic. Love the location, and the space. Go check them out!

GREAT COFFEE DRINKS! We meticulously hunt the twin cities for new coffee shops. The moment this one popped up last year, we were immediately extremely impressed, and it has joined our top 5 list.
The atmosphere is cheery and relaxed, modern and tasteful. Great staff are the core of this experience, and never disappoint!

Every time I come here I swoon over how beautiful the coffee is. It tastes good, sure, but it FEELS good to get a coffee here. 10/10 recommend. Love hammering out some computer work in this space, too.
