Coffee Hag

It wasn't the worst coffee joint I've ever been to, but it definitely wasn't much to write home about. Upon entering the place, you're inundated with progressive "feel good" messages and imagery about people and the environment- which, generally, I don't mind. But they use a boat load of single use plastics. So.

It is one of the local coffee shops with its own unique atmosphere that I love so much. A place to enjoy a good talk, local music or a game of trivia. And always with a good cup of java and sometimes a treat. One of my favorites!

Best coffee shop in Mankato hands down. Even if they are super busy (which they often are) the staff is super friendly and attentive. The chai is great. Even ordering black coffee is delicious. They are always good at making it right if need be. The coffee is absolutely excellent and is high quality. I also love how there is lots of comfortable seating. Finally, this place is in a great location in Mankato. We love this place and will definitely keep coming back!

This place is like going into your favorite cool Aunt’s house! Everyone was cheerful, but in a cool way, coffee was hot and tasty! I think a Weezer song was playing when I was there. I had a dark chocolate mocha—not too sweet but perfect. And I tried a Nordic waffle with peanut butter and bananas! Gooey, warm and yum!

Loved it! The workers are so nice, its a LGBTQ+ Supportive place, and the coffee is absolutely admirable

Great coffee shop, baristas are competent, the atmosphere is superb. Very laid back and cozy, it doesn't have the uptight "hipstery" that some small coffee shops seem to have adopted. One of the most relaxing places around to spend a Friday night.

Coffee is great no doubt. However, what makes the Hag the best coffee shop in town is they built a community around their business. They built the kind of atmosphere that is rare to come by in the Midwest. I go because of the crowd it attracts and the wonderful employees they have. Even if all they sold was decaf Dollar General coffee I would still pick the Hag over any of Mankato's other shoppes. Thumbs ups

The coffee is fantastic! I love their Mayan Sun blend, very unique, just the right amount of kick and delicious! Seating can be limited, similar to most independent coffee shops, but it has a very cozy atmosphere.

The whole experience was very nice! I loved how much they care about the environment. The coffee was fantastic and my breakfast sandwich was also very good. It is clearly loved by the locals as it was pretty busy for a Monday morning!

Always love this place. It's a mankato staple. The cashiers were friendly helpful and quick. Always a good time when I come here.
