Perk Place has good coffee for all their drinks, except the cold press. Not my favorite flavor profile straight black.
They use Duluth Coffee Co roasted coffee for their drinks.
Atmosphere is decent, but not really memorable, just cafe. I think some of the food is pretty good, but some of it it a tad salty for me. I think that's just a personal taste thing, so try it for yourself. I do really like their curry chicken sandwich. It's on point flavor wise.
If you need a quick cup before you get on your way, the wait, even when busy, is short. Great espresso and latte's!

Great atmosphere and coffee... but don't forget their bakery also! We have gotten cupcakes for 2 events now, and they are the best in town. Not only does the shop take extra precautions because of a nut allergy in our family, but they offer so many flavors. Each and every one better then the last. Lemon and choc covered strawberry are 2 of our favorites!

All and all it was a lovely experience and just what I needed to treat myself on a hard day. Even though they forgot no sausage on the breakfast sandwich today. I still whipped that to the wind and enjoyed it. The honey bear latte and delicious scones made up for it! And will be supporting local in the future. :)
Thank you!

Got the turtle mocha and 2 breakfast sandwichs! All of it was delicious and the costumer service was great. Upbeat friendly vibe. Will definitely go back.

The coffee was good, the Vanilla Latte was not as sweet as I am used to. The staff was very friendly & patient. Pricey if you are not going to sit down & enjoy the environment.

The peanut cookies, peanut butter cup Cheesecake were soooo good!! Love the small town coffee shop look, plenty of seating, First time trying the Mochaberry iced with Rasberry and Blueberry syrup. There isn't another coffee shop like this from here to 100 miles south

I’ve only been in Duluth a week, but have already been here twice! Their Masala chai tea latte is delicious, and they pumpkin spiced it for me! Excellent flavor! The same with the Artichoke Florentine panini! It’s like rich spinach artichoke dip in a crispy hot sandwich! Delightful! I’ve also sampled their pumpkin muffins and maple pecan scones. I would guess all of their baked goods are superb, as these were both moist and quite flavorful! I also tried their breakfast croissant sandwich, which they made vegetarian for me. It surprised me that it seemed to be a panini styled croissant, but it was quite yummy, and a fun surprise! I’m definitely enjoying checking out the menu, and can’t wait to try their soups next!

Food and coffee are fine and what you would expect at a standard coffee shop. However, we ordered ahead online as we were heading out of town, but still had to wait in a line of people. Once we finally reached the register, they only then opened our ticket and started to prepare food and drink. We grabbed our food over 25 minutes after the estimated pickup time.
Curious what the point is of ordering online if you have to go through the same process as those who walk in the door to order?
Wish we would’ve gone to Caribou across the street. Would have saved us 25-30 minutes.
Edited after owner’s response: I am truly taken aback by the owner’s very off-putting response. I am in no way upset at the fact that I may need to wait for food. I simply wanted to express that the online ordering system did not make sense to me. Why order online if you have to then go inside, wait in line, and not have your ticket processed until you arrive at the register? If I would have known this ahead of time, I would have stopped elsewhere due to the fact I was headed out of town. I hope they take this feedback and are able to set expectations for their online customers.
Edit #2: it appears the owner has since changed some strong verbiage on their response, which I appreciate. However, we love supporting local businesses and their original response really bummed me out.
