The baristas are beyond amazing. I've gone in and simply described a type of drink I would like, (something cold and sweet, for instance) and they've made something stellar every time. This is what good coffee tastes like. In fact, it's so good, I routinely give bags of in house roasted beans as gifts. Please, check it out.

My favorite espresso in the Ann Arbor / Ypsi area.

I’ve been enjoying the Prometheus coffee at home for awhile… it’s my absolute favorite coffee, and I’ve had the joy of getting some of the countries best coffee beans at renowned Puerto Rico Coffee importers in NYC, Blue Bottle, etc… this is still my favorite! Having moved across country 4 months ago, I haven’t been able to find anything good in my new locale, but was pleasantly surprised to discover Hyperion sells their coffee online and can ship it to me! Such a great place! I’ll miss not being able to visit the store, and smell the heavenly coffee being roasted, but having it shipped freshly roasted 1300 miles away is an nice option I’ll be taking advantage of! A good local coffee option with friendly staff! They also have a nice selection of coffee making implements (kettles, grinders, presses, Chemex supplies, etc…) and fresh beans. Only complaint would be the limited indoor seating.

This place is excellent. I always just drink their black coffee and so far it’s all been perfect. Perfectly roasted, freshly brewed and always really interesting beans. They seem to have a lot of coffee from interesting places and I think most (maybe all?) of their coffees are single origin.
The employees are all really nice and professional, I always get awesome service here. The space inside is well organized and decorated, also these folks (at least a couple weeks ago) were still requiring masks and doing covid cleaning protocol for their tables (dirty/clean signs), which is nice.

They have the best coffee in town... but they continue to add a surcharge for plant milks. As a company that values people and sustainability, I hope they come to understand it's dairy, not oats, that is responsible for cutting down rainforests, using more water than any other option, polluting our rivers lakes and air, and animal cruelty. There should be a surcharge for that.

Great space, cool vibe, awesome employees. My only gripe, and this seems to be a trend at other coffee shops, is they don’t serve a single espresso only doubles. I always prefer a single and not sure why they do this when their machine comes with a single filter basket as well as a double.

Quick order throughput, friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, an excellent place to grab a breakfast on an off day

Great lattes and selection of beans. So nice I went twice! Smooth roast and a nice vibe.

Hyperion has become a local legend here in Ypsilanti. If you're rolling through this is your place for a quick cup of coffee. But not just any coffee! It's Specialty coffee and it lives up to that title.

You will be greeted by friendly staff that will get to know your name if you come in enough!

Come in and admire the cozy tucked away shop and it's smart urban design that honors one of Ypsi's many cool historic buildings.

You'll be tempted by the oatmeal raisin cookies, or perhaps a lemon bar! If you're really lucky there will be a brownie! One of my favorites is to walk in each time I go and wonder what special baked good will be available.
