Excellent, fresh wonderful sandwiches and the bakery is to die for! You won’t be disappointed. And even on a dreary day, the view is great!

We stay at a local hotel and even tho breakfast is free we come to the Upper Crust instead. Service here is excellent but the meals are even better. Very clean too. I'm Manistique-grown so when visiting town, we definitely go here. PS..coffee also excellent as is the marina view!! Thanks and we'll be back soon😁

We had made plans to meet with people on a Saturday. By all indications online, this was supposed to be open. It wasn't. As two groups of out-of-town folks, it was just disappointing.
I'm giving a middle of the road rating because it would be unfair to ding them completely for this, but in this day and age you need to be on top of your online presence because you never know where new customers are coming from.

Yummmmmm! Delicious, fresh sandwiches. Soup with seasoned oyster crackers. Homemade apple pie was to die for. I recommend the Granny Smith- turkey, pesto, cheese and thin sliced Granny Smith Apples- I had mine on Sourdough.

Killer sandwiches and wraps. Gluten free bread too for those who need it. Very big menu. Clean and friendly.

My wife and I have been staying at the Garden Grove Retreat for 6 days now, and of those six days we have been to Upper Crust three times. This restaurant has outdoor, dog friendly seating and something that will appeal to most people.
There are veggie sandwiches, protein bowls, and salads. They even have some interesting dessert options.
If you eat on the back deck there is a pretty nice view too! They seem to get busier around 11am, but the line has never been that long, and the food is worth the wait.

First, the lunch options are amazing - so much to choose from, even as a vegetarian! We ended up with the Cheese Supreme and a Veggie Wrap, and both were so delicious and we were both inspired to try similar things at home (we aren't from the Manistique area). The scallion cream cheese on the Cheese Supreme was actually fresh scallions in it, not processed scallion cream cheese like you normally get from the supermarket. It was DELICIOUS. The staff was friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed chatting with them. Nice clean bathrooms as well, which is always a bonus when you're on a motorcycle trip!
