Lucky Bean was a lifesaver for my new husband and I while visiting Mackinac Island on our honeymoon in October! They were one of (if not the only) coffee shop open in town and their coffee drinks were so delicious and warm! We also bought their bagels for breakfast which were also delicious. We definitely want to visit this cute coffee shop again when we visit Mackinac Island.

They use a nestle package to make their hot chocolate but charge as if it was the real deal. Espresso was ok but not great. Doesn’t warrant a return visit.

Very crowded. Not much seating. One young lady sat at a table for 4 at least an hour reading while ignoring larger groups (many seniors) coming in & she could have moved to a stool at a bar. Maybe they need a sign for 2 or more for the 2 tables they have.

It's a smaller coffee shop up a street from the busy-ness of the main street. I was impressed by the different flavors here, including what I got, which was a pistachio latte. Super unique as I am a pretty big coffee person and love trying out new places all the time. I would recommend coming here if you like something different than what Starbucks offers.

Really disliked their iced coffee. It's a cute place with a nice vibe but the bitter and watered down taste of coffee = 2/5.

The BEST coffee on the island! After experiencing a terrible Starbucks on the island, I stopped a person and asked them if he worked or lived on the island. He did, and gave a big smile when I asked for the best 'real' coffee shop on the island. The Lucky Bean is a bit off main street and worth the walk. The shop is charming, the staff friendly and they really knew their coffee. They even asked me how much foam I wanted in my cappuccino! I also picked up one of their cute insulated travel mugs, and I really like it. Did I mention I only paid $4.50 for my cappuccino versus $8 at Starbucks? Please, skip the overpriced Starbucks and treat yourself to a quality coffee on the island. You won't regret it.

This place is a hidden gem! It is a MUST try if you are on Mackinaw Island and love the small town café style ambiance. Give the 24 oz Mocha/Caramel Frappé a try, it will not disappoint! Great customer service, be prepared to wait at least 10 minutes for your drink due to the high volume of orders. Overall, when I stayed on Mackinaw Island for five nights, I had Lucky Bean 5x and it was great each time.

You aren't exactly spoiled for choice on the island for coffee, but this lovely little spot is worth a visit if you would like good coffee from a true coffee shop. I ordered a cappuccino for my mom and myself, and while the barista was a bit inconsistent with the amount in each cup (mine definitely was fuller than hers), it was still a pretty great cappuccino.

This is a 'must visit' when going to Mackinac Island. Any time i walked past the ever-busy Starbucks I wanted to shout "wrong coffee shop!". The owner is so sweet, the service is friendly. Most importantly, the coffee is great. Great selections, options and quality. Definitely try the "local favorite":Love Potion no.9.

I got the Betty White mocha, (rum flavoring; a house made up drink) which tasted really good. I didn't taste rum, rather I thought it tasted like caramel, and it had more chocolate than coffee which is what I like. Quaint, not much room to sit inside, really fast service and all of our drinks tasted good.
