Madcap Coffee Company

Madcap coffee is the best around, no doubt in my mind about that. This place has the hipster appeal that is very clear from the baristas to the guests in the place. I'm always wary about places like this thinking that the workers will be condescending toward me. However, the staff has always been very helpful and eager to answer any questions I might have with great answers. They always offer two pour over coffees and a chemex option. If you like light to medium roasted coffee, you'll love the coffee! The espresso is always bright and delicious. I'm always eager to go back for another visit!

This place has very good views, great atmosphere, and decent coffee. The mocha we had wasn't very hot, but it was tasty. The room was quite loud, so not the best place for studying or contemplation. The prices are also quite expensive, for small serving sizes.

The coffee is the best in town--maybe in the entire Midwest. Depending on which location you go to, you'll feel a little out of place if you're not under 30 and dressed in skinny jeans. I prefer the newer Fulton Street location to the one downtown. The Downtown Marketing location is also very open and the bar is seriously cool.

Very interesting experience. This place is like a chemistry lab. If you are more of a classic coffee drinker that drinks coffee with soy or almond milk then I wouldn't recommend this place... but the coffee quality is very high and worth a visit! Also the only plant based milks they have a is homeade coconut milk which is extremely tasty, but I personally don't like coconut in my coffee.

What nice place to relax and enjoy something to drink!

Was visiting the area and wanted a good cup of coffee and got just that! My wife and I had mocha's and shared a cheese danish. The danish was the best we ever had. The place had a nice atmosphere and the barista were very friendly and patient with us.

I found this on a list of best coffee shops in the USA and was not disappointed!

Coffee was pretty good. Staff was condescending and didn't know much beyond the descriptions on the labels.

Not too many brewing options, which would have been nice given the prices. Have to buy multiple cups for Chemex brew and decent filter..

I wanted to like the place, but I've had better coffee without having to deal with haughty and unknowledgeable staff.

Great coffee & tea; personally love the tea here. Prices are a little expensive, but you do get a lot for what you pay for in regards to the tea. Music though can get extremely loud as if you are in a club at 10am -- not fun trying to make a business call.

Caitlyn was a great help! Amazing staff every time I've been there. Amazing hot chocolate and ice cream sandwhiches! Corn free all the way! I also love their cider! Environment is absolutely. Best cafe I have ever been to!
