I've been to a lot of coffee shops over the years, this one is by far one of the most consistently amazing places in Michigan. You really can't go wrong with any of their bags of coffee for home use, the baristas are always friendly and welcoming, music is on point, and I've never walked away unhappy with their espresso drinks.

Okay . . . So I'm a Roos Virgin, but I still get a chance to swoon over the Autumn Harvest Latte. Unbelievable. BEST coffee I ever had - and I've been to Venezuela and Columbia with Juan. (actually it was with the Purdue Band) KUDOS and HAIL - I don't miss Pizza Bob's aura anymore.

Worth tracking down. The Rosewood address is well-hidden in a business district leaning industrial, but the location adds to the aesthetic. Outside seating, a generous indoor space for ordering and the best cappuccino I've had in a long time. I also ordered a cherry scone which was the perfect level of sweetness (ie "not too"). My work requires I stay in this area when traveling to Ann Arbor and it's tough to find local shops to spend my money. I will always come back to RoosRoast!

I try to frequently stop at different coffee shops and roasters on my travels, and this is one of my all-time favorite places! Everybody gets Roos for Christmas :-) The Lobster Butter Love is the best around, but don't quickly ignore their other types - Rich French Neighbor is amazing as well! I drive over an hour to grab a fatty 5 pound bag of the LBL! Hmmm, think I just made my Saturday plans lol

They say it themselves, "This coffee is an experience." They're right it really is!

Their menu has plenty of options- quite possibly something for everyone in your family.
The coffee is great! I order the same thing every time because I'm that kind of person, but I love how nuanced every cup is. I always look forward to the next visit because of the subtlety. I haven't tried the food (yet), but based on how frequently you hear, "Cheesy P!" you know it's good. 😂

Their staff are friendly, unpretentious, and very accommodating. I overheard an employee helpfully offer to make a drink "like Starbucks" for a customer. You gotta appreciate that level of thoughtfulness & accessibility!
I dropped my coffee as I got to my car once :( I went back inside, embarrassed, but ready to buy another. They remade my drink without hesitation- free of charge, no questions asked! 🥲

You can get coffee everywhere these days, but this place is one of a kind! From the lobsters 🦞, to Pac-Man, the Datsun, and everything else in between.

For the detail-oriented planners:
Car folks can park (free) along the building, in the back, or on the street. Don't park where you're not supposed to though- check for the signs!
The street can get busy at times as it's just off a light industrial area. (Many people walk/bike and you'll frequently see others with kids and/or dogs, so keep an eye out!)

Such a good cup of coffee. The staff is really great, and helpful when you need some direction on what to get (because they have lots of tasty options). The decor is cute, there is a lot of room outdoors to enjoy the weather while sipping your drink. But honestly, hats off to the staff for making this place as amazing as it is.

Among the finest brews I've ever had. Extraordinarily friendly staff. Cozy A2 vibe. Good tunes at just the right volume. The sorta place you expect to find deep in dorm country, not surrounded by industrial parks.

Love they’re iced coffee with honey and I always pair it with two burritos! Always delicious and satisfying!

The place to go for delicious roasts, tasty espresso and lattes, served up in a space with great ambiance. Today they were playing the Purple Rain album, and I almost wanted to stay to listen to that in its entirety though we ordered java to go. You can also find RoosRoast Coffee beans around town in A2.

One of my favorite things about traveling is finding independent coffee roasters and shops. Their set-up is simple: one door in another door out, picnic tables on the yard if you want to sit. Looks like the line frequently extends outside but they keep it moving. I ordered one of my usuals, dirty chai, and was really pleased when they asked if I wanted it sweetened, as chai in a lot of places means syrup or presweetened mix that is sweeter than I prefer. Customization is my favorite thing!

I also bought a bag of Lobster Butter to take home and just made a pour-over that is delicious. I was at first put off because the heavenly scent of the beans wasn't very strong once brewed, but the cup is wonderful, dark and buttery.

Also, I might have been imagining it but I think we could smell the roasting beans from the front yard!
