Been there twice, first time after riding bikes on the trail with my wife, we arrived at 5:10 on a hot august afternoon, perfect ice cream conditions, they were closed! We both thought it was odd that a business where primary demand would be after work, in the summer would be closed in the late afternoon, that's just bad business. So, about two weeks later on another beautiful afternoon we went earlier on a ride with the express intention of going there before it closed. Before leaving on our bikes we checked the hours on the big blackboard they have on the road, it was closing at 5:00 so we made sure we were back in time. We showed up at 4:20, THEY WERE CLOSED! What kind of ice cream shop closes an hour before their posted time, and in the afternoon on a workday? This kind of business plan needs public reaction, don't go there, they think ice cream stores should have bankers hours! Crazy!

Hard to say what is better, the delicious snaky food or the kind, friendly staff.

I make it a point to stop by this place at least once a week. Wonderful homemade soups, quiches, sandwiches, and baked goods, plus excellent coffee. Bonus: they emphasize using local products whenever possible, so you're supporting your nearby farms and businesses also! Located in an old general store complete with tin walls, potbelly stove, and now free wifi. For folks with children there is a kids' corner complete with games, puzzles, books, and even a play pen for the littles. Situated right off the Rails to Trails bike path (Farmington Canal Heritage Trail) which continues into Connecticut, it's the perfect place to stop and relax for breakfast, lunch, or to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Fresh local food, friendly staff and a quaint environment! Perfect stop along the bike trail. They have indoor and outdoor seating, they even have alcohol too!

Great homemade pastries, soups, and frozen drinks. It's position along the Rail Trail is super convenient. Unfortunately, They're only open for a few hours a day, and only for the Spring and Summer.

Friendly staff and great home style cooking. A gem located right on the Southwick rail trail which they support. Their chicken salad on homemade bread is to die for.

Amazing baked goods. There is a nice side space for little kids to play. Easy to watch them and contain them while parents enjoy a well deserved coffee!

I love the atmosphere here, quaint, nostalgic decor, and plenty of delicious choices! Right by the bike trail is a great destination or break on your ride!
