Zaruma Gold Coffee

Great new little spot to brighten the neighborhood. Lots of whole bean bagged coffee, and it looks like they either own or directly partner with a farm in Ecuador for fresh batches each week. Cold brew was solid, and the home made blueberryuffin was fantastic. Will definitely be back to try some of the (dozens) of sweet or savory empanadas the offer. Owners were really pleasant and welcoming.

We're happy to find a quality coffee shop close and within reasonable walking distance to Winter Hill. We stopped in for coffee and empanadas (and bonus free dog treats), which were all very good! I believe the empanadas and croissants are homemade. They have plenty of other goodies inside the shop too. Humans and doggy were left feeling satisfied.

Empanadas, coffee and other cool finds at this Ecuador inspired coffee shop. The workers are very patient and friendly. The outdoor seating is great too!

The coffee is OK, I don’t see it to be much better than Starbucks. The enchiladas contain a lot of corn regardless of the filling type, I guess because it is a cheap filling. Also, they gave me a wrong type of enchiladas.

Brand new! Cute little coffee shop at the end of the bike path. And what a wonderful surprise. The coffee is delicious. And they have patties, cookies, gelato all individually portioned and packed due to COVID. We have other coffee shops but this is now a favorite. They are tucked into a neighborhood and have patio seating. Love it.

I have been to Zarumas a number of times - each time I get something new. They have a delicious range of treats from blintzes covered with delicious berries to empanadas to the best muffins and sweets in town. A great addition to Somerville! Nice staff and atmosphere too.

I want to give this place 6 stars.

Great coffee, chill vibe, **high quality ingredients**, way above my well loved Starbucks. Real fruit smoothies, actual matcha (organic too). Desserts look divine, including homemade frozen desserts.

A hidden gem for sure. Stop by and enjoy the breakfast sandwich and coffee drinks.

I haven't had them yet, but the empanadas sure looked good. Next visit!
