I live within a very short walk of Zaruma, and I find myself here all the time! Their coffee is phenomenal, the ever changing menu of pastries never disappoint, and don't get me started on their empanadas. I'm literally eating one as I'm typing this review!
Ditch your favorite coffee chain and spend your money more wisely on a small business. Since I moved here over a year ago and started going to Zaruma, I have yet to turn back to Starbucks coffee.

A nice and cozy coffee shop at the end of the Somerville bike path. Have enjoyed the crepes and breakfast sandys, and had a yummy chai. I was drawn in by the Ukrainian flag out front and the owner is raising money to support the country during the war. He shared his story and these are the kinds of businesses, and business owners, that I like to support.

This is a nice hidden gem. Perfect for coffee and a place to set up a laptop and work. During the summer they have good outdoor seating.
It's not fancy but it doesn't need to be, and the friendly owners make this an awesome neighborhood hangout.

For such a great location at the end of a bike/pedestrian trial this place was very disappointing. Lemon cake and cinnamon rolls we got here were worse than what I can get in a gas station. Coffee was okay. The place looks adorable and maybe the fresh food is better but I didn't want to wait for that to be made since there was a long line waiting

This was the cutest little cafe, and apparently dog friendly with dog snacks right at the counter. That kind of immediately makes it 5 stars for me and I'll be back with pups for sure. Lavender tea + a croissant was a great snack and outdoor seating available.

This place is awesome. It's run by a couple of very nice and friendly people. It's a coffee and tea shop but they have a LOT of food selections. Empanadas in particular are what I had and not only are they delicious, but they have a lot of variety, which is awesome. Their drinks also naturally come unsweetened so if you're sugar free then it's easy to get stuff without sugar. Their matcha latte was excellent.
They provide limited table service (taking your food to you) which is a very nice touch for a cafe, but I think speaks more to the friendliness of the staff (owners?). We had a wonderful time here.
Bathroom is one of the cleanest I've seen.
Also, they're not a fan of Putin (another big plus in my book), so Putin supporters—get your coffee elsewhere!

A neighborhood cafe to try if you are tired of Starbucks or Dunkin.
When we entered the place it was totally empty. We went on a nice Boston day (15C in early February if you know what I mean) and were expecting there would be more traffic. Nice cozy ambience with a few Van Goghs posters on the wall. Free wifi and plenty of seating if you wish to work from a cafe.
Our order was a Choc Babka, Caramel Latte and Hot chocolate. Pretty good. The Babka was not as crispy as a fresh one but not bad either. I would not mind ordering it again.
They do have more stuff like breakfast sandwiches and crepes in savory but we were only in for a coffee and that did not disappoint.
Would surely go back to try their savory menu.

Chai latte was very nice! I was not a fan of the coffee, but everything else was lovely. The patio is great to sit on, and there are lots of plants.
The empanadas looked good, although I did not try them. Nice selection of ice cream as well. Very cute location!

New coffee shop started in January 2021. Slinging espresso and brewed coffee from Ecuador along with international pastries (crepe cakes, empanadas, and more). Had an espresso, which one of the owners recommended pairing with a Russian chocolate salami(?) The coffee was mild and the chocolate salami delicious! They’re also open for in-person dining if you’re interested. Highly recommend!

The perfect neighborhood coffee shop/bakery that this area of Winter Hill has needed for so long! The drinks and food are both excellent - I especially love the empanadas, coffee, and freshly squeezed juice! There is a lovely outdoor seating area, and a great indoor environment as well that I’m looking forward to enjoying post-covid. The owners are very personable. Patio is dog friendly, and they even have dog biscuits for our furry friends.
