Love this place! From the decor to the menu, it's a wonderful place to get a great latte! I was just visiting, but i know I'll be hitting this place every time I'm in town just for a maple latte. Delicious!!! And the workers are so nice & lovely to chat with, especially Emily. šā„ļø Try the bear butter too...Good stuff!! šš

Great coffee experience.. Not much to do in this town, but here you'll run into locals, visitors and a fun time.. Mis- matched tables chairs, funky local art on the wall.. Good snacks and of course coffee.. No Starbuck cookie cutter styles here

This is a nice little coffee shop with a variety of tasty drinks. When Iām visiting family in Pittsfield I always try to stop in. The location is great too.

So...we are a little conflicted about Dottie's. On the one hand, they have some interesting fare that is both fun and tasty (even their version of a grilled cheese sandwich is pretty darn yummy). And the staff most often aims for cheerful helpfulness, which is also nice. However, on the downside, Dottie's is hellishly expensive -- more than any other cafe we have been to in Pittsfield. For example, a mocha latte costs nearly ***$7,*** and I don't think my wife and I have ever had a meal there together that didn't end up costing over $50.
The other issue that warrants a 3-star review is that the food and drink can be a bit inconsistent. For example, the same coffee drink on different days can either be astonishingly good or just ho-hum, depending on who is making it....Then again, going back to the plus-side, it is fantastic to have a free public parking lot next door!
So again (sigh) we are conflicted. We like what Dottie's is trying to do, we like the funky look and feel of place, and we like the food and drinks when Dottie's is at their best. The real issue is that if we're going to pay such a premium price, we'd like to have consistency...and Dottie's just doesn't have that figured out yet.

Drove here from NY (about a 30 minute drive) to check this place out. When we got there we were waiting in line with only one person in front of us for a long time. Finally we get up, we place our coffee order, and we're told that there is no coffee today...... it's a coffee shop...
And they had no coffee. They said they didn't have anyone working there that knew how to make the coffee. Which is sort of funny coming from a coffee shop. Nonetheless I wouldn't have been so upset if I didn't make the drive there. They did not have this information posted on their website, social media, nothing. If you are a coffee shop and you have no one to make said coffee. The least you can do is post it to your website or social media page...

Coffee shops that are this good should be subsidized by the local business alliance or city government, because they are a public benefit! This shop is fantastic: coffee is really good, food is fresh and healthy, there are GF options (thank you!) and they sell local crafts.
We found this shop on Google maps when we were passing through the area. We went off the highway because the reviews were so good. After getting drinks, lunch and snacks we went next door to the mid-century furniture store, which was also amazing and bought a bunch of stuff.
Thank you Dottie's; you are the best!

Moved here 8 years ago and was excited about a local coffee hoyse/hang out. First visit we were treated coldly while regulars are greeted like family...still tge same. Keep going back hoping for some smiles at least. Don't go every day but frequently enough. A smile goes a long way. You get the feeling they know they don't have to bother. Um, yeah ya do!

Delicious and great. The app is VERY functional! You can use it in the store to get food delivered to your table, or order ahead. Or! You can order at the front counter if you want to skip the technology. Cute spot, great atmosphere, great food and good coffee. Haven't tried the tea.
If you're walking down the main strip of Pittsfield, this is definitely a place you should stop for a bite to eat.

Best coffee I have ever had. Sorry Dunkin' & Starbucks!
